What is Volkssport???

Since pregnancy has me sidelined from running for a while I was looking into walking training plans and I found the American Volkssport Association www.ava.org. From what I gather they have walking clubs where you complete walking routes at your own pace. It's not a race and you can walk with the club, your family, or all by yourself. They have routes in all 50 states and all over the world that were designed by walkers to have interesting sights along the way. And you get little pins or patches as rewards. It sounds really neat!!! Even cooler, I also saw that Disney had an event for them this past October. Anyone ever been involved? Or know anything about it???
