What is up with the on hold music?

I called member services for the first time in years today. First I was annoyed by an estimated 25 minute wait time. So I hung up and called back later.

Then I called 2 hours later and the wait was only 15 minutes, so I thought I could handle that. Then it began....the on hold music. It was like a bad radio station that sometimes sounded good and other times was all static. Also the volume seemed to be so soft and then way to loud.

I am usually not a complainer, but the music really got to me today.

This is not a Yeti. FIX THIS!

It's so choppy. When I put the phone on speaker (which, with the long wait times, is necessary), the music cuts out and I think that MS is coming on... nope, music cutting out. It sounds terrible.

This is nothing new. Really, what is causing it to come through SO BAD?!?!:crazy2:

I noticed this too. I noticed in Sept. When I made my reservation, again in Oct. when I made some dining reservations and again today when I made some changes. It is very choppy and hard to hear.

The cutting out could also be attributed to being on a speaker phone. The speaker hears noise coming from you and cuts to transmit. It's part of why I hate it when DH uses one when he speaks to me.

i mute it. For any other "on hold" experience, muting eliminates the cutting out.

Yeah, if you talk while on hold or the phone hear an ambient sound it will cut out the music. So if you want to listen to it, just put it on mute or be silent.

As for the quality, well it is still a phone. Land line ( and even cellphone ) don't use HD audio quality. So mix that with the cutting out when it hear sound and you get a choppy radio.

I've muted it, likely for the same reasons you all do, then MS comes on and I couldn't get it off mute fast enough and they hung up!! :lmao: ugh ......Yes, the music quality is BAD!
