the last few times i've checked the wait times on the my disney experience app it has said "temporarily unavailable". has it been breaking down often? or is there another reason it would say that? it's one of the only thrill rides my boyfriend likes and we are only doing one day at HS so i am going to be pretty upset if we can't ride it. we are going to be there on feb 4!

It breaks down or stops like any other attraction can. Hard to draw any big-picture conclusions from a few checks of an app for wait times.

Cue dozens of posts from people who swear everything stops due to "breakdowns" and does so more than they used to. I say no, we just hear about it more because info is easier to get than it used to be.

I hope you are able to ride it on your trip. You can increase your odds by simply showing up at rope drop, getting an FP, and riding it as soon as you can. :goodvibes

Sincerely,
Disney Apologist :)

We were there 21-26 and it was temporarily down once while we were around it...what was funny, is this HUGE group being led by 2 disney guides went in that direction and didn't seem deterred by the man letting everyone know it was broken down. We thought maybe for some reason that that special group somehow had it "reserved" for them. :confused3

Some people will hang around a popular ride that's temporarily down for a few minutes to see if they re-open. We did that with HM and after waiting 10 minutes they reopened and there was no waiting to get in. When we got out, the line was quite long.

I remember coming back from my last trip and seeing a post on here about how everything kept breaking down and it was horrible. The dates were the same as mine and many of the parks days overlapped. I was like "What? I never saw a ride down the whole time I was there." :confused3 It can be funny that 2 people in the World on the same dates can have such different experiences.

Plus, as you said, there is also the ease of communication. Now we have people in the parks announcing the ride is down within seconds. That didn't exist before. So, perception plays a huge part in it.

ok thanks everyone! i know rides go down every once and a while and i totally get that, i was just getting nervous because the last 3 or 4 times i checked it said the ride was unavailable. i just hope that we can ride it is all!! thanks for your responses! :)

Here now and in DHS (sitting at the car stunt show actually). RnR was down for about 25-30 mins earlier today but not necessarily a breakdown as far as I know. Interestingly at about 1130am Star Tours shut down and wouldn't let anyone on for about 20 mins or so. Maybe a little longer.

Wait times have actually been great today! HTH!
