What is up with Garth Brooks?

Wow. I am really surprised so many people do not like Garth Brooks.
He is living on the same property as his ex-wife Sandy. He truly quit performing to be a real Dad to his kids. I really respect that.
The people I know who know him personally only have very nice things to say about him. He has family in the same area I grew up in and a lot of them still run into him when he is visiting his relatives in NM.
My Moms friend was in this extrememly small town in NM trying to buy a part for his tractor. A guy behind him in line said he had the part my Moms friend needed at his ranch and asked him if he wanted to follow him back to get it. The friend said sure. Well a few mins ago a truck pulled up and someone got out and said "Hi Aunt" whoever, "Hi Uncle" whoever. To make a long story short it was Garth Brooks. He was extremely courteous and respectful to my Moms friend. Called him "Sir" etc.
I have heard of him personally helping to build a fence at his DD's school and a lot of other true normal life stories of his genuineness.

I love Garth Brooks, he has to be my favorite singer. I think he is cute also, but thats my opinion

They are not aesthetically pleasing. If you are going to show your naked feet off on TV......make sure they're "nice looking". This is JMO and I'm sure the Garth fans don't appreciate it.

I do really enjoy Garth's music. He is very talented. I would love to see him at the local Walmart or Albertsons becaue I live so close.......but I've never seen him. Just think it would be fun to bump is shoulder and say HOWDY. Of course my own husband had to grab me to get my attention the last time we accidetnly bumped into each other (I never pay attention when I'm shopping to who's around me).

Just throwin' my opinion in......I love Garth...always have, always will. Greatest singer ever....not by a long shot. He is, however, IMO, one of the greatest entertainers ever. I've seen him in concert 3 times and can't wait for his little girls to grow up so he can get back on the road!

As I've always joked with my DH....Garth is the only man I'd ever leave him for. You can imagine how nervous he got when he heard of Garth and Sandy divorcing! Thankfully for DH (depressing for me), we heard of his engagement to Trisha.....DH is sleeping better these days!

Go Garth....your real fans, your friends in low places, will wait for you. Bring on the box set! I secretly hope the whole "Chris Gains" thing will come around too.....I love that CD!

oh I have to say Garth in concert is soo much more than you can imagine if you haven't seen him!

I have had 1st row for George Strait, 4th for Alan Jackson, First row for Tim Mcgraw (when him and Faith were still a rumor - lol)
and although Tim was a close second (based solely on looks not power of the concert!)
I drove to Maine the first time to see him with minimal expectations... well when he came to MA I KNEW I wasn't going to miss it!

as for the cheating thing - I am against cheating -
but that said i have not walked in him or Sandy's shoes...
I can not judge them for their personal life - heck weren't Tim and Faith cheating on others in the beginning ???
I have a certain respect for the fact that he left the industry for his kids though...
