I am in need of a hotel for 2 nights prior to a cruise. It needs to be under $200 a night with parking and resort fees. I have looked at Royal Caribe and Buena vista palace. Suggestions????

If you really want DTD area--meaning hotels along Hotel Plaza Blvd--then the 2 you mention aren't in the mix, as they are located a little ways away (~1 mile or 2).

I have stayed at the Hilton, and it is fine. If you are doing the parks, it has the benefit of being the only DTD resort to participate in Extra Magic Hours.

If you just want to stay nearby, and it doesn't have to be in DTD, then I think the BVS and CR are decent properties.

I have stayed at the Marriott Village properties on Vineland. I have had good experiences there, although some people seem to think the traffic is awful.

Check out Mousesavers.com for discounts. Sub-$2-- is definitely do-able, depending on what your dates are.

We love the double tree. It's a suite so lots of room to move. I think we paid about $120 per night and it's $15/night for self park.
