On our trip to DL last summer we were going up the path to the monorail (inside the park) when a family in front of us got really excited saying "here it is, here it is" and looking at the ground. After they had left I just had to go over and see what they were looking at - my husband thought I was quite mad but I took a photo. So, can anyone tell me what the significance of this drain cover thing (not sure what you'd call it in the US!) is please?

My guess is something to do with the different lands of the park?

No clue.. Maybe they mistook it for the center point for the park?

Can't wait to see the answer on this one.For the record, I would have gone over and checked it out too...and taken a picture. I may even have hunted the folks down and asked what the heck it was!:lmao:

Maybe they were doing a scavenger hunt or something (I know they do that sometimes on that other board.... Mouse Adventure or something?)

I was tempted, believe me! But I had a embarassment attack and just couldn't do it!

It was definitely the only one like that around, I did check that much!

I've played the Mouseadventure game quite a few times, and we do have eye spies that we have to do sometimes. I don't recognize that one as part of our game, but I don't play in all the categories. It's possible that's what it was, but our games are usually in the spring and the fall, not the summer.

I don't know what it is either.:confused3
DD is out of town until Tuesday, if no one can answer by then I will ask her if she knows (she worked at Nemo for 6 months). Hopefully someone else can enlighten us?

Looks like a water valve cover.......Anyone?
Being it has a key hole I imagine it would be something not just anyone should be getting into.
But after investigating this I wonder if that family was really looking for this or the waypoint(survey marker) that is near by.
