What is there to do at Wide World of Sports?

If there is no big event going on at WWS complex, what is there to do there on a daily basis?? Any attractions, games, etc. to do?We went in 99 at night, it was completely deserted, ate at the All-Star Cafe and left. Anything new or different there??

Ummm in May, the 3rd week. We were looking for All-Star Resorts and accidently entered WWS, there seemed to be something going on, lots and lots of people. Not sure what it was though. Sorry

I highly recommend the NFL Experience if you or your kids are the athletic type. It is a football themed obstacle course that will time you compared to actual NFL players and other guests. I ran it a few years ago and was only 1/10th a second off of the season record. I tried it again to see if I could beat it and I discovered the pain that an astroturf burn can deliver

There are a few really neat things to try while you are there and there is a great tour of the baseball stadium that most sports fans will enjoy.

DS has asked me repeatedly to do the NFL expierence. Did you make reservations for this?

We did the NFL experience back in 2000. We all enjoyed it (DH-38, DS-13, DD-4 and myself then 30). Of course my son enjoyed it the most. Go figure!

There were no reservations needed, we just went on over. It was otherwise empty. I was pretty much ready to go after about 20 minutes, DD about the same. My husband and son probably would have liked to stay longer than the hour or so we were there. And if this helps - it was definetly on my list for something DH and DS could do while the girls did something else this trip.

I have read a few things on the Disney website and it seems as if things have changed a bit. It's now different sports - not just football. I think it was something like 6 things to try, each for a different sport, instead of 6 Football things. If anyone has been there recently I would love to hear your review.

Does anybody know if it is possible to play some indoor full-court basketball there? It would be worth the admission to me if the facility provided that opportunity.
