Just missing POP. It came too quickly and went even faster. Why do trips to WDW make clocks go double time fast?

hate to say it, but there is more riff-raff at POP

I think what this person was trying to say is you are going to see more of the people that dont watch there young kids and let them run around at night making noise.
when my family and i were at POP in 05 we were at the pool and there were 2 couples with a few young kids that brought a radio to the pool and blasted heavy metal music and drank beer and played cards while there kids were in the pool jumping infront of guests and splashing other people and getting very sunburned. in the pool.

this wouldnt not make me go back there but we are staying at WL in Aug. and i dont think i will see this there.

Wait! Were you there in August 2004 for the hurricane? We saw those same people. Or their cousins. They sat at the tables near the bar and drank 16 oz beers from plastic bottles and played cards while their kids ran all around the pool. They didn't even watch their smallest one who could not swim! She borrowed one my DD's pool noodles to stay afloat and *I* watched her along with my own DD. *sigh* At least Celia had a playmate.

I forgot all about that. But ... there are rude, inconsiderate, beer drinking, card playing child ignoring people all over WDW. I didn't consider it a POP or even value resort "thing".

the absolute worst thing about POP Century is the fact that it is 3500miles from where I live.

 I Feel your pain...

im sure there are people like that at the other resorts as well. i loved POP. im hoping the other half opens up somtime soon so i have an excuse to get my DH to let us go back :teeth: ::MickeyMo

The worst thing at POP is the Chicken Caesar Salad (and maybe cheesecake because I don't like cheesecake - period :teeth: )

The worst thing about POP is that it is a value resort. Not that there is anything wrong with a value resort, I rather enjoyed it. So I guess if that is the worst thing, its not all that bad ;)

You will have fun!

I've read where some say the rooms are small at pop. I asked a WDW rep the sizes of the rooms when I was going to book at ASMU and she told me that the rooms at ASMU were 50sq. feet smaller that CBR or POFQ but that the pop rooms were bigger than the AS resorts. About noise, you can stay in the finest of hotels and still hear showers running etc. I will be very comfortable at pop this July. Ive never been but I'm looking forward to meeting all the riff raff as I am definately not the hoity toity type.

I'll take riff raff :jumping1: over snobs:snooty: anyday. And guess what? You'll see some of each everywhere in WDW. I just ignore it and stay in my Happy Place!

I'm w/ You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: I hate people who think they're better than you!

ITA!! This is my first time staying at POP but from my siggy you can see that I have stayed at ASMo and ASMu, so does that make me "riff raff"? I thought I was hispanic, the things you learn on these boards! LOL :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I've stayed at concierge rooms at the Grand Floridian. We've run into inconsiderate and rude people there. Especially in the concierge lounges. So, doesn't matter what level resort you're at in my opinion. Or, maybe they ddin't like us because we are "riff raff." LOL

We've stayed at Pop Century one time so far, for three nights. No complaints. I thought the food court was very good. Didn't have a problem with the busses at all. It was a very good experience and we are looking forward to staying there again.

Oh please!!!!!!!

Noise and long check in lines. Once you get past that, it's an awesome place to stay. We were in the 1st floor of the 80's bld and liked our location, half way between the computer pool and the food court.

the pop is wonderful because its at my favorite place on earth...

the best thing about pop is the cm's there were much nicer than those at the contemp...they went out of there way to make sure we had a good time...

i can't wait, we leave for wdw in :cool1: 14 days...2 nights at the polynesian and then 10 nights at the pop...(gotta love 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 pools...)
