What is the "Wishes" Parade

I am sorry if this has been asked before but I don't seem to find much info on this parade which starts on October 9th. I am sure it has been described but there is no "search" function.

Can anyone give me an idea as to what actually this parade is?

Wishes is the new fireworks show at the MK, replacing Fantasy in the Sky.

I was under the impression that this was a fireworks show replacing Fantasy in the Sky at the MK. I do not think there is a parade in conjunction with the fireworks.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Oops. I am sorry. You are right. It must be the fireworks. Anyone has any idea what the big change over Fantasy in the Sky will be?

If you have seen "Believe" at Disneyland it is much like that. "Wishes" will have fireworks that are shot off from the back like Fantasy in the Sky but it will also have fireworks that are being shot off the castle and other various location throught the park to make it a more "in park" experience. I have seen the show at Disneyland and LOVED it, they have been doing test runs of Wishes at night and from what I have heard from some of the CM's that have seen it already it is really good. Can't wait for it ti debut.

Just have to add because I thought it was funny. They apparently just did a test run of "Wishes"... we can hear the fireworks from our home and we heard them at 8:00pm (which was Fantasy in the Sky) no big deal hear them every night, kind of quiet. Well about 9:45 the fireworks started again and they were LOUD... they just finished. I wish I knew when the test runs were, I would go out on the back roads and watch them

Hmm, an "in park experience"? There goes my plan to watch them from Ohana over dinner.

You can still watch them from Ohana You can see the castle from there. What I meant by "in park" is that they are going to be shooting some of the fireworks off the castle and other various buildings, while still utilizing the main fireworks bunker in the back. So it will have things occuring in the park as well. So when you are there you will feel a closer to the action. Ohana, California Grill and Narcosee's will still be great places to see it from.

"wishes" debuts on Oct 9th They are suppossed to be doing the final run through this evening (with the music and all eliments together). Can't wait to see it, hear it is really good

oh yeah, it's the new fireworks show. just wondering, will the California Grill Fireworks Dinner still be as spectacular as ever???

Not sure since I have not seen the final product yet, but from what they have explained I would think that the California Grill would be a GREAT vantage point (since you would be able to see everything that is going on from a higher level.)
