We are beginning to feel the effects of Frances - it is very windy and muggy. No rain yet although it looks as though it will start at any time. I am glad I work at home because if the rain starts, rush hour is not going to be fun tomorrow.
I'm glad to see that much of the country is enjoying nice weather for Labor Day. I sure wish I could say the same here in southeastern SC. We're a bit north of Savannah and have been dealing with the outer bands of Frances all last night and today. I can deal with the wind (certainly mild in comparison to what FL dealt with this past weekend) and the rain but we've already had two tornado WARNINGS today We're under a watch until 8:00 p.m. tonight. Those I can deal with but when you hear that a tornado has been spotted in the area, I get scared.
Francis is making her way up. Here in NC, it's 75 degrees & rainy. Hasn't rained all day, just off & on, but pretty heavy right now. We have a GoldenDoodle (that's a dog) that loves water, we had to bribe her to get her out of the rain. Right now, she has her head resting on the windowsill - poor thing.
My computer is near my kitchen window and all afternoon I've been seeing these very dark grey clouds with long, dark "fingers" spin by. It's just sooooo spooky.
GET MOVING FRANCES!
Sorry for the vent. But it's really a scary looking storm, even when it's not raining.
