What is the weather like mid to late May?

We usually go 1st week of May and have found the weather to be perfect: sunny, high 80's .... ideal for all of the water activities we love to do. However, next year, due to annual pass considerations, we are thinking of going May 9th thru May 20th. Does anyone have experience with the weather during this timeframe and, if so, how does it compare with the 1st week? Is it about the same or are you starting to see signs of the rainy/afternoon thunderstorm/muggy season by then.

We spend most of our time in SAB and the waterparks so this is an important consideration for us.

Thanks!

We just returned last night, the temps were in the low-mid 90s with daily afternoon thunderstorms. Felt more like a July trip with the weather. This was our first trip mid May. Don't know if this was the norm or not.

Average high 88, average low 66, rain 3.6 inches per month. I would say there is really not much difference one week to the next week in May. A month later in June there would be a difference with the start of the rain season.

We were there May 12-19th - it was a little hotter and more humid than "average" - concur on the low 90's highs - the rain did not seem so bad though.

And of course, the Animal Kingdom felt like it was about 100 degrees.

Only disrupted us once at MGM - we ducked into ABC Comissary for dinner to wait it out and once at DTD around 9:00pm or so.

The parks were fairly quiet in my opinion other than Jungle Cruise in the morning (which had an after MK opening) and Peter Pan (since Winnie is under refurb)

Seems like a good time to go

Thanks

Just got back. Was in the low 90's during the day, humid but not unbearable. Just bad enough to give you an excuse to go into the shops and buy something :)

We were at WDW May 4th-11th. It was hot (90's), but that was fine with us. This was such a looooong bad winter that I'm NOT going to complain about a little heat, LOL:p

Just back yesterday. I personally thought it was hot, hot, hot. We were at MK Saturday. Very busy, but I thought it would be cause of Spectro and FITS that night. E-Ride lines weren't long, but had to leave early cause kids were about to fall over. Sunday MGM was way too crowded, but it was Star Wars weekend. Monday we went back to MK and it was worse than Saturday! Our last trip was in November and it was much more enjoyable. Kids weren't up to the waits or heat. Guess we'll have to get used to this, oldest starts Kindergarten next year. Best bet - go early, go back to swim when you think you're about to collapse from the humidity, then back again to the parks at night.
Oh, and about the rain... Last day we came back to swim and were in for maybe 5 minutes when they had to kick us out. AKL pool was closed all night. Every day the skies turned dark late afternoon, but we lucked out for the most part.

The weather here is in the mid to high 90's average humidity is around 60% or higher. And our thunderstorm season has started early so we have afternoon showers and storms

We were there May 4-12 and it was HOT! I think that they set a couple of records while we were there though. Its normally around the mid to upper 80's and gets into the 90's by the end of May. It was mid to upper 90's while we were there!

We always go the first full week of May. This year the temp was exceptionally high; mid to upper 90's. Normally it is low to mid 80's, simply beautiful.
