What is the weather like in May?

Has anyone been at that time of year?

I live in S. CA. Usually in May the weather is pretty pleasant, but it can also get pretty hot (but generally not humid like WDW is). There can also be gloomy days where the sun doesn't come out (though it's generally not cold, maybe just a little cool). It does cool off in the evenings, though, and it's a good idea to have sweatshirts or light jackets handy once the sun goes down.

How about crowds in May? I am leaning towards May for my trip.

Normally, May is low crowd season, but if it's next May that you're thinking of, expect fairly large crowds, particularly in the first part of the month. 05-05-05 is the official kick-off for DL's 50th birthday and the Buzz Lightyear ride should be opening. I expect it to be at least a little crazy.

I love DLR in May, it is my favorite time of year. The crowds have always been light yet, enough people that you don't feel like it isn't festive. The weather has been beautiful. Plenty warm for shorts yet not too hot. Very great time of year, beyond a Holiday trip to see the decorations we will always go in May.
