We were in the east wing, last room on the hall being a corner room with balcony, resort view. We loved our room. (it was the first balcony in the upper right when you are coming from the boardwalk). We overlooked a good portion of boardwalk and the waterways, and had the big Epcot ball straight ahead in the background. To the left we could see the Dolphin, the boat dock, and a few of the Dolphin fountains. I asked for a resort view room with view of the fireworks, the highest floor with a balcony. I know that our room is also a "water view". I am willing to bet that a lot of the rooms have overlapping "views" stated for their physical locations. I had heard that "water" view could be of the lake, the waterways, or the pool. This is the same policy as the regular Disney resorts, water being water in any form. I know there isn't a room number map like many of the Disney resorts. Don't let this drive you insane! You're going to love the Swan and Dolphin!
Let the resort know what your room intentions are and I am sure they can be accomdating! I would rank your choices in order when you talk to them so they know what is most important to you.
