Okay...it is apparently obvious what your theme is if you are having your wedding in Disney...but how about those who are not...like me for example :teeth: Since I could not have it at Disney, I brought the Disney to me....everything that is for the wedding is all Cinderella...from the invitations, to the cake topper, even down to the favors....I'm excited just picking things out that I know will impress my guests :cool1: So how about everyone else out there?

I am also having a Cinderella Theme, as I am from the UK, not all of my friends and family could come to Disney so I am having a wedding party when I get home. I have got a four tier wedding cake with a solid sugar crafted castle - it’s stunning! I have made Cinderella scrolls for invitations, Disney confetti, Cinderella favours, Disney music and instead of table numbers we have character names from Disney such as Cinderella, Snow White etc. My bridesmaids also have Cinderella dresses for the reception at home.

Just because we are having our wedding at Disney doesn't mean it's going to be princess themed. Since we are getting married in December, we are going with a Christmas/snowflake theme. I found some amazing cakes with beautiful glistening silver snowflakes on them. We are going to have a couple of simply decorated Christmas trees at the reception and have it feel like a Winter Fairy Tale (in FL). I can't wait!!! :cheer2:  :cloud9:

That is going to be soooooo pretty! I love Cinderella too, as she is my favorite princess: I love to hear about these things. Congratulations on your wedding. I am sure everything will be absolutely magical pixiedust:

Mine is kind of beachy, but not really a theme - I love seahorses and sea life in general and I am having my reception at Ariels but do not really plan to have anything Little Mermaid-
For my at home reception we are using ivory/silver pumpkins for the centerpieces which may be considered cinderella, but I am not 100% sure what I am doing-

I wanted my wedding to be fun & different so I chose the theme flip flops & fairytales. I want everyone to enjoy themselves plus I am the flip flop queen (seriousley like 45 pairs), ever since I moved to TX thats all I wear. It fits me....

We are getting married at Disney because that is where we met, but we are not having a disney theme of any sorts...I seem to just not really be into themes, not sure why. I didn't want to over do the disney thing so that is why I didn't go with it. Anyways I am just going to focus on my colors, lilac and sage, and maybe our monogram. Actually does anyone know waht the "rules" are for using your monogram ie 'lNk' before you are actually married, like on the invitations? :confused3 I have seen it done before but I wasnt really sure. Thanks!

My fiance and I are doing a 'vintage seaside' theme. Since we're having the ceremony at Sea Breeze Point, we decided to go all the way and do New England seaside circa 1940's. It's mainly little details like having the Model A instead of the limo, a jazz trio at the reception (which is at the Living Seas), and little stylistic stuff like his suit, my shoes, our invitations, etc. I managed to talk him out of the bagpiper, so now I just have to figure out what type of musician would best fit the theme.

KT- I like the flip flops idea, I am a flip finatic too- wanted to wear them w/ my gown- I bought them, but my mom and aunt said the ivory gown looked better on me than the white and my shoes are white.... but I still may wear the ones I like at the Reception- the others I bought are the same heel height!!!

Cool ideas--Ladies!

Jonette and KT- your days will be here soon! Are you so excited?

We were married in Disney but it definitely was not a Disney or Princess theme. If we had a theme it would be called Elegant and Intimate. Anyone who sees the pictures and didn't know it was a Disney resort would never be able to guess it was at Disney World. The only Disney thing at our wedding was our Mickey and Minnie chocolate favors.

That's what is so PERFECT about a Disney wedding - it can be as "Disney" or not as you want it to be. You can have characters, cake toppers, anything you want to make it more "Disney" or you can have none of that stuff and it's simply a gorgeous location and run by wonderful people.

Best Wishes :goodvibes

We were originally going to be married at Sunset Pointe...and I had this whole Hawaiian theme planned for our wedding. I had found matching Hawaiian dress and shirt for me and my DH, I was going to ask for leis instead of a real bouquet...then we changed our plans...

We ended up at Sea Breeze Point...and our "theme" was simply summer casual. My dress was a simple gauzy "frock" and DH wore a beautiful white linen shirt. My bouquet and headpiece consisted of bright, summery, colorful flowers. And except for the Mickey and Minnie Cake topper, I'm not sure you would necessarily know the wedding was at Disney World.

We had a Christmas theme at our wedding (12-13-03), and it worked out beautifully. We had Christmas themed floral, garland down the head table at the reception, a cake with snowflakes and wreaths, wreaths on the pews at the WP, etc. We wanted the wedding to be at Disney but not have a Disney-related theme (of course, now I want a vow renewal so I can do a Disney theme too, LOL). Disney really does a wonderful job whether you want a lot of Disney elements in the wedding or not.

I found ivory flip flops that match my dress perfectly with some crystals.

I am geting very excited...finalizing plans as we speak! Lots left to do, and LOTS to bring down!!!!! 26 days WOO HOO!

I think I am getting excited, actually I am just ready to go on VACATION. It has been a long few months, and I am looking forward to the break. I know that there is a lot I have to do yet, so I am working on those wonderful last minute things!

hmm...I don't think any theming was required for our wedding! Location was theme enough! :)

I suppose you could say that the theme was Disney... :teeth:

our table names were famous Disney couples, cake was mickey...

I havent really got a theme so far - nothing too disney I dont think just pink and black for our colours - will get my thinking cap on now!

Our main theme is Ireland - shamrocks, Celtic knots, and Irish castles. But we're having a Mickey & Minnie cake topper, using the new Disney romance stamps and some Disney music.

The theme of my wedding is "Jerky wedding vendors overcharging us for everything and our resulting insanity..." Is that romantic? We're handing out straight jackets as wedding favors and valium and xanax as part of the cocktail hour!!! ;) :lmao:
