What is the tag fairy?

I don't understand the Tag Fairies. I've noticed there are people on these boards who've been here a long time, and post a lot, and still don't have pretty tags. And I've seen them say some witty and funny things that would make perfect tags! (And I'm not referring to myself, a relative newbie who is probably one of the least witty on this block! LOL!) I just feel bad for those folks though...

Just wanted to say thanks TF!!!

I had posted a while ago that I loved the movie Brother Bear and embarrased my kids to death when I started to cry at the end in the theater. Hence, my new, lovely and first tag!!

This had made my day! Which I think is the true intention of the TF. SO thanks again!!!

Yeah, I noticed the inconsistency about people posting here for years with no tag, but others get one after their first two weeks.

As for me - no tag yet (but I'm hoping someday ) Guess I'll just have to start writing like Stepharoonie does!! Or start embarassing my children in public more! Then I'll have some better stories to tell.

it took me forever to get a tag after i accidentally deleted my first one! i got my new ones while i was grounded!! hence my tag!!! :laugh: the tag fairies made me happy while i was grounded!!!! huzzah!!!

I am fairly new and have heard others talking about the tag fairy, but I was too shy to ask what it was. Curiosity got me, and as I was looking for the right forum to ask my question in I bumped into my answer. What a neat thing to look forward to.
