What is the Tag Fairy?

I keep seeing people in a particular thread I'm subscribed to hoping that the "tag fairy" doesn't find it. I'm kinda new, and have no idea what the tag fairy is. Anyone?

Well considering I am tagless, maybe I am not the best to explain but...that has never stopped me before.

The tag fairy is a sweet sole that floats around on the boards and if something catches the tag fairy's eye, it may appear under your name. As you are reading through the post just read some of the things listed under some of the screenames...other than your rating...that is the tag fairy at work!

I have heard rumors that we have a tag genie too...

Ok, I guess that explains some of the really bizzare things I've seen written under peoples names (and why the others in the "Fart" thread are hoping the tag fairy doesn't visit there!)
