Normally we are at the gate an hour before opening etc but This trip I don’t want to be in the rope drop crowds but do want to take advantage the lower wait times.

Is the best time to get to the parks right at park opening?

Please share your wisdoms

I time my trips to enter the security areas 15-30 mins after park opening and it's wide open to get into the Parks. I'm usually able to use the early advantage of getting on my top rides. That is...if I'm not attracted by some shiny object on Main Street.

I HATE waiting in crowds for security to open, the gates and/or the Lands. Not for me at all. But totally get why some people like to do it.

That's not really a thing. If you wait for the crowds to disperse at security, the front gates, and Main Street, they'll all be in line for the rides ahead of you.

I would say when I was there in July it took an hour or two until most of the lines were pretty long. A few rides though had pretty long waits right away if you didn’t go to it at rope drop. Like I did Indy first twice, Guardians first twice, and Space first once, and I walked right on since rope drop is my main talent in life lol but when I got off the lines were probably just about as long as they were later in the day
