Under the heading Disney Experts teach us something new someone referred to the super fastpass like the one they get at Universal. Is there such a thing and how does it work? Please let me know as I don't want to get any surprises after arriving at Disney. If alot of people have a different kind of fastpass then what we are use to it could definitly effect my touring plans. Thanks
Oh, by the way this is not my first post but I can't remember my password and couldn't get in with what was emailed to me so if anyone could help me figure that out also I would appreciate it. I am grandmadebby opened this one as grandmadebby2.

My family received Super Fast passes after touring the DVC properties.

They allowed us 3 immediate use Fast-passes.

You walk up to the machine, put in the special card you are given and it prints out a Fastpass for that exact time.

do u have to tour DVC to get them? we are already DVC members but those sound great!!

Hanging out on the DVC board I have seen these mentioned. They seem to be given sometimes as incentives/gifts for attending the 2+ hr easy/hard sell presentation for DVC. They also sometimes offer giftcards instead. Back in Aug my family of 7 got 7- $15 giftcards.

The fastpasses appear to work like the GAD Fastpass exchange cards. They provide a fastpass that is usable immediately, no waiting required, and they are also available even if all fastpasses have been issued for the desired attraction. In other words, you could use this card at DHS at 3pm to get a fastpass for a ride on TSM without having to wait for a return time, even though all the fastpasses for the day were distributed by 11:30 am. This is just an example.

They don't appear to be giving out these fastpass cards for every DVC tour, or the giftcards for that matter. I'm sure their management has some way it determines when and if they will give them out.

1) Super Fast Passes come in several varieties.
2) They are simply a normal Fast Pass.
3) The most common are in books of
. . . Three Fast Passes
. . . Five Fast Passes
. . . Ten Fast Passes
4) You can get into 3 or 5 rides without having to use the Fast Pass machine.
5) They are given out as
. . . as incentives for a family/individual to take a DVC tour
. . . as "Recovery" to please a guest with a problem (requires a manager's approval)
. . . as Pixie Dust to any guest (requires a manager's approval)

I've never heard of "books" of them.

The only thing resembling a "super fastpass" I have seen is what has already been mentioned - a Fastpass Exchange Card that works like the GAD version (insert card into kiosk, get instant FP, use X times, usually 3), that you get for the DVC tours, but they are not guaranteed.

Guest Recovery methods generally involve a handwritten card that can be used once in place of a Fastpass, although they may give you several at once. Or they may give you "Attraction Re-Entry" passes, which are sort of "use any time before the date listed" Fastpasses that may work for any attraction or may be restricted to a single attraction.

I did recieve some hand written paper FP's at SM in Aug.

They were just closing down the FP Kiosks for the day, and i got 3 (out of a prty of 6) before it printed out "FP Not Available". I looked forlornly at the CM who apoligiesed and said there was nothing she could do, when the woman who was behind me literally grabbed the three FP's i had out of my handn and poofed into the crowd.

Needless to say i was shocked, the CM was shocked and we just stood blinking at each other.. at which point she reached into her pocket, asked how many in the party, and handed me a red slip with "Party of 6 ANY TIME" on it and the SM logo on the other side..

I thanked her, and my family got on the ride without any questions. (still can't believe that woman though...:confused3

Does anyone know if those expire? We got them for going to the DVC presentation and we were there at a time we didn't have to use them and then we kept forgetting about them on our other trips. We got them about 3 years ago.

Also, we had a set of FastPasses (one for each of us) for one ride when we were Family of the Day in July 2010. I believe it was only good for the day.

I believe the DVC FP cards expire within a couple days of issue.

How bad must things be to give these out? We had problems with three hotel rooms, and all we were given was once fastpass (per each of us).

This could be one of many things?

I assume they are not on a make a wish trip - those kids get a special pass that basically acts as a fast pass.

I have received a "super" fast pass for being with someone that tried out for American Idol - one person was in the show and we got 3 fast passes for everyone in our party and one person made it to round two and we got one set of FP's for everyone in our party - these were good for 14 days from the day we got them and were good at any attraction (even TSM) at DHS.

I have received a FP by a CM that was a card for a blunder that a manager had to get involved in - it was just a hand written pass for 3 rides at RnR.

I have received a FP by a CM that just gave me two already printed FP's because I was obtaining a FP instead of using a Guest Assistance Card that I had in my hand. He said that I should just go in the ride and not get one and I told him that the GAC was not for me (it was for the disabled child that was in our party) and that he was not riding the ride, so we were getting FP's for the rest of our group for later. He said, "Thank you so much for not abusing the system - here are some FP's for later!"

As far as I know, there is not "Express" FP system like they have at Universal.
