What is the stupidest thing you forgot?

I forgot our no expiration date tickets...that one hurt! I actually only forgot them in the hotel, but my DH was not wanting to wait around for me to go back and get them. Especially since it had just taken us 45 minutes on Disney transportation from our hotel. So we ate it that day! Our budget was out the window from that moment on...

I have a "packing list" for the vacations we go on. AND I always manage, even with those, to forget something.

Most of the time we can pick it up but once I forgot all my prescription meds. Luckily, my mother was able to Fed Ex them to our hotel. I don't know what I would have done otherwise.

We did this too. Got all the way to AK, which took a while and DD17(then probably 13 or so) didn't have her ticket. We checked with guest services or something to see if computers could somehow access our account as our ticket were on our room key. They actually gave a complimentary one day hopper so we didn't have to go back! :goodvibes That worked out great and it was really nice. Unfortunately we did it again on another trip to MK. We got there and I thought she had the card carrier and she thought I had it so we had no room key and no tickets. I'd actually forgotten about the previous incident until we went to the hospitality service desk outside the park and they gave us both a one day hopper card! I felt a bit wierd cause I really had forgotten about the early trip thing but both times it worked out great and they were very nice about it all! :wizard:

Actually funny story about that second time also losing our room key. We had to go to CBR front desk to get new keys and they printed a bill up to that date. I noticed a charge for another 5 days of hoppers on the bill. I had originally bought 5 hoppers and to use with older nonexpired tickets. But there were 2 separate charges for 5 day hoppers for 2 of us. Asked the CM about this and she said, you bought 2 more 5day hopper and told her no we hadn't bought 5 more and didn't need them and she then saw farther down the list that the 2nd charge had been credited so I was relieved. Figured it was all taken care of. Later we were checking all cards at the desk to see what was left at the end of the trip and on our room keys we should have had none left and she said we had 5 more! I figured out where they came from and told her we hadn't paid for them and she said we could keep them but I made her go check it out. She came back and said her managers or w.e. said it was their(Disney's) mistake and go ahead and use them and have a great time!! We ended up going home with 4 old days each and 5 unexpected free hoppers so a total of 9 days nonexp. left!! Okay, so that went off in a tangent, but stemmed from us forgetting our key cards! Some great disney magic!:cheer2:

This is not disney related but I once flew out of town for a very important job interview and when I got to the hotel I realized I did not have my brush, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste and makeup!:scared1: Luckily, the hotel had samples of the everything except the makeup. One of the girls working at the front desk let me borrow some of her makeup and off I went to the interview. I was so frazzled because I am normally a really orgranized person, but on that paricular trip I forgot all of important things. Oh yeah...did I mention I also forgot to pack my suit??? I had to go buy something that really was not a appropriate for the type of interview I was attending (think Corporate America Fortune 500 type company) but luckily I was able to pull it off but I was really kind of insecure on the inside all day. And I got the job!

Now I am so Type A about packing. I may overpack sometimes, but I don't forget anything. And now with a child I am even more Type A. My child does not know how to travel light. Toys, clothes, food/snacks, blankets, etc....it takes me longer to pack his things than it does to pack all my things.!:)

Going to Bahamas, I forgot contact solution. That was a hassle because the sundries shop at the hotel didn't have any. There was also no local stores nearby. I think the hotel had to call another store for it. That was one expensive bottle of contact solution.

During past trip to WDW, I forgot contact solution AGAIN. But this one was easier because it's Florida! They had it everywhere so we just stopped by Publix to pick it up.

The one thing I couldn't pick up at Publix was ... a bra. Yes. I forgot to pack bras. I had packed sports bras for the park and was actually wearing a sports bra (more comfortable for the 2-day drive). It ended up not mattering much though. As long as I had some support!

And I'm typically not forgetful! I normally makes lists ahead of time, pack everything the morning of since I still use some of the items the same day (ie. I don't have a separate vacation toothbrush), and never leave anything important behind. This past vacation was stressful because I had to bring work with me so that ended up being my main concern. Packed all the books and teacher study guides and textbooks and laptop ... all of that, I had!

A few years ago, when we went to WDW for the holidays, I forgot to pack underwear and socks for myself. I had to buy them at the resort store for a pretty penny.

Ok I'm back from our trip and I wanted to let everyone know what it was that I forgot. I felt really stupid for leaving it. I spent an entire night making a Pirate hat for my daughter to wear to the Pirate and Princess party and I was very happy with the finished product. I wanted to pack it last to make sure that it didn't crushed or damaged in anyway. Well in case you haven't guess it already I left it on the arm of the sofa where I had set it down. I was kicking myself when I figured out that I had left it. I ended up buying Jenna a Princess pirate set of mouse ears. She walked around telling everyone that she could hang keys from her pirate earring.:rotfl2:

I don't feel so bad now listening to everyones stories, on our last trip to DW we forgot my DS's suitcase, we get to the airport everyone gets their luggage and my DS asks where is my bag :confused3 , needless to say DH does 80 back home and then back to the airport, I think thats why they say be at the airport 2 hours in advance:rotfl: also the same trip we forgot DS's underwear and sneakers and DH forgot his digital camera, needless to say we spent our first day at walmart buying a new digital camera which cost $$$, sneakers and underwear that was one costly mistake. I'm wasn't into making list before but I already have my list made for this years trip and I will be doing all the packing myself.

i spent weeks doing my 'plan' and a binder full of notes for the wdw trip..and i left it on the table!

We drive to Disney, and this is something my husband brought that we didn't need. I had unpacked our big suitcase filled with "winter clothes" to put our summer clothes in for the trip. I put our winter clothes in another suitcase and the KNUCKLE HEAD brought the suitcase with our winter clothes!! (we had our other suitcase). I ended up emptying out the winter clothes and throwing them away (they were old anyway) and using that suitcase for souvenirs!!

well it wasnt anything iforgot to pack it was my DS#1. since i plan our trips far in advance i like to have everything in hand long before we go. so a few days before we leave i always start to pack my stuff, we my DW and i usually pack our stuff at the same time. so we can make sure that we pack sunscreen any meds we need etec. all of the essentials. so this way when the crunch time arrives we can focus on our 2 teen sons. well they always tell my wife they can pack by themselves so i leave it alone. well this last trip after we get back to our room after a long day my son informs us that he forgot all of his underwear. so of to downtown disney we went to buy some. did we have fun with him after that. when he leaves for college i always ask him if he packed his underwear.

I just noticed that you lost your Mom in February. I lost my Mom is December. I hope you are doing well...

sunscreen. i always forget sunscreen. and i live in Florida. go figure. that or i will coat the kids and forget to coat myself.
and wear a hat cause i always burn where my hair parts :rotfl2:

I once forgot an entire suitcase!! Had to have my parents overnight it to us at POP. Never do that one again!! Cost me a pretty penny to have it sent

Stuff I've forgotten (not necessarily on WDW trips):

Contact case
Contact solution (manage to bring one and not the other)
Dad's pillow (camping trip as a kid)
Batteries (in the room at POP - ALL the extras, thankfully we made it through breakfast at Chef Mickey's with dying batteries)
Extra memory card (spent time in line deleting pics I didn't want/didn't like)
Shampoo (2 week trip to Europe - remembered the conditioner though)
Disney For Kids By Kids (book I bought for friends daughter to look at on the plane, first trip to Disney for her)

That's all I can think of now.

I took everything we'd ever need, and I mean everything...

Well, I got out my little guy's shoes for our first day at MK...no socks. Haha!! Luckily, he refused to wear anything but his Lightning McQueen sandals the entire time, and this mama doesn't do socks and sandals. Hehe!!

Um one year I forgot my birth control pills. :headache: I had just got a refill. I ended up leaving the refill at home and taking the empty package with me. Needless to say, I always doublecheck my medications now.

I forgot my extra contacts. Keep in mind my prescription is OVER double the legal limit for blindness. Luckily, the pair I was wearing miraculously lasted me the entire trip.

Well, we ALMOST forgot it! The second time my family and I went, we were halfway down the block (we were driving from Chicago to Orlando), when my dad noticed he forgot the CAMERA! :scared1:
We drove back and grabbed it, but my poor dad never lived it down and on each family trip after that we always made sure he had his camera.
