My friend's daughter is doing this. Anyone know what it's about? I didn't want to be too nosey because I think it's vaguely religious and they are somewhat private people, but I'm curious.

I googled it. But what I don't get is this: Last year when she was 16, she ran off with her boyfriend. They were gone for two months. It was a huge ordeal, although they knew she was "safe" because she called them. Not that that made the parents feel any better. They have since broken up, but what caused the initial fight with her parents in the first place was that she had a pregnancy scare, so I'm assuming it's a bit late for a silver ring?

I always think these external symbols are rather silly, BUT it's never a bad thing to decide to make better decisions than you have in your past.
