Hi all we were planning a trip to Disneyland from Australia for early October 2007 as we thought this would be a quieter time of year but looks like that has now all changed. So we thought we could come in late September. Is this a better and quieter time to come. I know that the Halloween stuff will not be around but what do you think. Also what sort of times are the parks open then I could not find out when they were open this year in September. Thanks

We took our first trip to DL this past September 21 - 29. Crowds were minimal except for the weekend and on the 28th (a Thursday), due to a special after-hours event at the park. Park hours during the week were 10am - 8pm weekdays, Friday and Saturday open until 10pm, and I think Sunday open until 9pm.

Before booking, I tried to research any conventions or other big events that might be in that timeframe, and schedule our dates to avoid those. We were sandwiched in between the DL marathon (or was it a half-marathon?) and Gay Days. I wouldn't be surprised if both those events were to occur in the same timeframe next year.

I'm planning a big trip to DLR in Late Sept/Oct next year and would like to avoid "Gay Days". Does anyone know when this is for 2007? Thanks.

We were there Sept 21-24th last year and Sept 24-27 this year. Crowds were great on the Weekdays, busier Friday afternoon & crazy on Friday evening & Saturday. Weather was great too. Haunted Mansion was down at this time for the Nightmare before Christmas overlay, but no other major refurbs besides that.

Hi

I'm from Sydney and are planning to visit in mid-late September. There will be DH, DD who will be turning 5, and myself. I've found that this is a popular time for Aussies - at the end of term 3 or starting school hols, outside the US school holiday time, and the weather still is good. I believe the NSW school hols start in 2007 the October Long Weeked (2nd I think) and most other states or private schools are within a week of this.

Weather wise will be very similar to Sydney in March. Still with humidity, can get burnt but cooler at night.

I've also discovered that Air NZ is about $1500 cheaper for the 3 of us if you're willing for the extra 3 hours via Auckland, and Qantas and American Airlines direct to LA codeshare and from Sydney will be the Qantas plane. However booking with American will be about $150 cheaper per person than Qantas.

I'm happy to point you the way of other posts I've participated in that may help with it all from the Aussie perspective.

Cheers

Kylie H
