What is the quickest transportation from MCO to resort?

What is the quickest way to get to your resort from MCO?

Do you think town car, taxi,ME, rental car?

We land at 3pm and I plan on using online check in for Pop. So what do you think is the earliest we could get to our dinner reservations at Epcot?

Originally our flight was to be in earlier in the day but that changed and I couldnt get a later dining time. So I need to try and get there asap.

Two years ago we rented a car and our friends took ME and we got to OKW about 10 minutes LATER than our friends that took ME!!!

Do you know the route that ME takes when they are going to POP?

You can be at WDW about 45 to 60 minutes after landing if you use the car service or taxi system. Rental car a little longer because you need to go find your car. ME is a bit more work because you have to walk over to the counters which can be 15 - 30 minutes away from your airlines baggage or less if you let WDW handle the baggage, and depending on the volume of traffic through the airport that day.

Many claim 70 minutes average time total but that is on a slow day at OIA. During busy hours the ME time gets closer to 90 minutes walking from the plane and than riding to the resort

Im hoping it is a 'slow" day. It is Tuesday Sept 29th and we arrive at 3pm. So Im thinking that it might be a slow day.

What's everyone elses opinion? slow day?

Hi Edd!! Here I am, your trusty little dissenter. I have used DME at all possible times...last Dec I got there the same time a ton of Pop Warner families did. The line to checkin at the DME counter was back to the car rental area!!! But, even then, the wait was about 70 mins. My longest trip was 85 mins, and that was when POP was the third of three stops, with much luggage to be unloaded at the first two stops!!
So..with that being said...
My shortest trip was 45 mins...towncar service, with carryon only.
If I have to get my checked bags, I add about 15 mins to that, so it takes about an hour. That's what it took me to the Dolphin last month with a car service and getting my own bags.
You can let DME take your checked bags....that's not how it's supposed to be used, but you can do it. Then you don't have to stop at baggage claim if you use a car service.
So...if you use DME it will take you around 70 mins. A car service, without baggage stop, will run about 45 mins. Towncar service with checked bags will be just about an hour.

I have used DME about 6 times now....I've had trips of 50 mins, and one at 85 mins..most were just over an hour. Pop has been lumped in with AKL and CSR...but that can change at any time. And most of the times Pop was the first stop, but again, that can change.

If you really want to get to Pop as quickly as possible, then tag the bags and let DME take care of them, and hire a car service. That should get you to the resort in under an hour....it takes about 10 mins to get from the gate to Level 1, ground transport, then 5 mins to your car, and 30 mins to your resort.

Shouldn't be overly busy that day. And 3pm is not a hugely busy time to arrive. You 'should' be at POP by 4:30 at the latest if you use DME. The route can vary....POP, CSR, AKL or reversed, or they could add a different resort in there.

It was under an hour to OKW when our friends used it, and that was in late May.

Im hoping for the same, but if we get to POP say at the latest 4:30 and use online check in, hopefully not taking too long, I think we may not be too late for our reservations.

If we are late will they refuse to let us in? Im thinking we may be 15 min late depending on the speed of the buses that afternoon. I would hate to use a park day on our ticket to get in epcot to find out we cant eat at our restaurant, the plans are to eat at epcot and take the monorail to MNSSHP for the eveing.

Tuesday 9/29 should be just an average day. Your time will depend on the ariline you arrive on and whether or not you use the luggage feature of the DME or go get all your luggage and take it to the bus.
