is it just for kids or is it good for adults too? is there a pool bar? Is it noisy? pix anyone? thanks!

The pool is great, especially for kids. It has zero entry, which allows even smaller kids a place to play. It's large enough that adults can go to the other end.

There is a pool bar and quite a few chairs and tables. The beach is great to relax on with a cool drink and a book. Or just look across the lake at the castle.

There are two pools at the Poly. The Volcano Pool and the Quiet Pool. I prefer the quiet pool but for some reason can never get dd to go there, LOL.

Kids love the slide in the volcano, the underwater music, the waterfall, etc and adults love the pool bar (somewhat limited, I often have to go upstairs to the Tambu lounge for things). Depending on when you go, the volcano pool can be very very crowded. Often we can't find any chairs (without towels thrown over them) within sight of the pool to watch dd while she swims. I have heard that many people swim at the volcano pool that do not stay at the Poly, so think that might have something to do with it, not sure.

Both pools are positively heavenly. The quiet pool tends to be less crowded but the theming is a bit better at the volcano pool. I never found either of them to be noisy, but I suppose that depends on the time of year that you are there at. If it's a busy time of year and bright and sunny its going to be crowded, and if not then it won't be. Its sorta the luck of the draw when you go so hopefully it wont be too crowded for you.

The Poly pool is always crowded when ever we go. Also as the other posters said, it is rare to find a chair etc., if you just want to lounge. All we wanted was one chair to put 5 peoples stuff on and we found one, all the way out of our way. The kids are loud and rude most of the time. My dh and I are tall and its not an enjoyable experience. Our ds love it and we cant get them out of the pool when they get in or off the slide for that matter. Most adults congregate either under the waterfall area, which is loud or off to the side by the water jets, near the exit of the slide. You must stay all the way on the side as that is where people shoot out from the slide. Its a little too crowded for my liking at times. After I get kicked in the guts enough from kids underwater, I stay way on the side. I think if they put a scan gate up at the Poly it would help with the huge crowds, I cant believe that between resort guests and dvc people it could always be that crowded. I also much say the lifeguards are no help whatsoever. They wont tell you the time, rarely talk to rowdy kids and couldnt even offer one of my ds a bandaid when his came off and was floating in the pool, it needed a bandage really. He said I dont have any, huh? Honestly, for a deluxe pool, most of the times you dont get a deluxe experience, I think its more like dunking with the huddled masses. However, you can get a little peace and quiet if alot of people decide to jump out of the pool and look at the water paegent or fireworks.

I went mid november, and the pools were not busy any day we were there(mid week)... and as everyone has posted, they are heavenly. I am not sure of the hours, but know they were open late.

I don't know what time the pools open but I think that they close at 10:00 or 11:00 pm.

I may be mistaken, but I thought that the Poly pools do not open or close, you can swim anytime. Lifeguards are only on duty for certain hours, however. I believe it is 10am-midnight or 10pm in the "offseason".
