The Poly pool is always crowded when ever we go. Also as the other posters said, it is rare to find a chair etc., if you just want to lounge. All we wanted was one chair to put 5 peoples stuff on and we found one, all the way out of our way. The kids are loud and rude most of the time. My dh and I are tall and its not an enjoyable experience. Our ds love it and we cant get them out of the pool when they get in or off the slide for that matter. Most adults congregate either under the waterfall area, which is loud or off to the side by the water jets, near the exit of the slide. You must stay all the way on the side as that is where people shoot out from the slide. Its a little too crowded for my liking at times. After I get kicked in the guts enough from kids underwater, I stay way on the side. I think if they put a scan gate up at the Poly it would help with the huge crowds, I cant believe that between resort guests and dvc people it could always be that crowded. I also much say the lifeguards are no help whatsoever. They wont tell you the time, rarely talk to rowdy kids and couldnt even offer one of my ds a bandaid when his came off and was floating in the pool, it needed a bandage really. He said I dont have any, huh? Honestly, for a deluxe pool, most of the times you dont get a deluxe experience, I think its more like dunking with the huddled masses. However, you can get a little peace and quiet if alot of people decide to jump out of the pool and look at the water paegent or fireworks.
