This is where I disagree...your points don't restrict you to just WDW, so there are other options. If you don't like to go on vacation every year, sure, I could see the loss of value, but the fact it is interchangeable with other resorts and hotels so it has flexibility outside of WDW.
The big thing holding us back was the whole "kitchen/washer/dryer" thing where the rooms are more like small apartments rather then a hotel. We don't really use these features, ever, because when we are on vacation, we want to be catered to. We send our clothes out for laundry, we only eat out, etc. But we're finally going to make the plunge because from the financial side of things, there are virtually no negatives besides the upfront cash.
