I know dumb question but what is the Pirate Party all baout, I see pics of kids with bandanas and patches etc... Is there somehting I should bring to take part in this ?

thanks so much

Just show up with your camera. Don't want to tell you too much about it. Seeing it for the first time is awsome....good surprises!!

I don't know if its the same on the Wonder, but on the Magic they have a themed dinner one night, Pirate Night. The waiters and head waiters are all dressed up as pirates and most of the guests are too. The menu is "Pirate" themed (our favorite of the 7 we had),and they do a little show during dinner, with music (yo ho yo ho, a pirates life for me), dancing, the waiters got the kids up doing the conga line. They also give out bandanas to everyone at dinner.

Then that night there is a deck party. Unfortunately, when we went it was lightning out so the deck party was held in the atrium. It was a bit crowded, but, again, there was music, dancing, characters, etc.. The only thing we were missing was the fireworks, but they held them the following night.

It was really a lot of fun. I almost wasnt going to bother dressing the kids up and lugging hats and what not along with us, but I did and Im glad I did.

I don't remember seeing this on the Wonder in Jan, but we spent the first night and next day in the room under the weather.

Maybe someone can confirm whether or not it is available on the Wonder.

SO I should bring a pirates hat for DD and maybe a patch or two ?

LOL

My dd will be just days shy of her 8th b-day on this cruise next week and she is very tall for her age so dressing up in the princess gowns is not an option for her any more.. She's 4'10" tall and looks more like 12 than 8 .. So I thought sbout the pirate theme and maybe she can dress up and take part this way ..

thanks

That's right! Can't wait! I will never go again during flu season though - not with little kids. Our cruise week was the only week my kids were sick all winter :confused3

Enjoy your cruise!!

Definately dress your daughter as a pirate. She will fit right in as everyone is urged to dress up!!! Adults too. WE loved the Pirate Party. The more people who dress up, the better the party is.
Yes there was a Pirate party on the Wonder, we went on May of this year and it was on the night we left Nassau.

I am so excited !
I do not know why.. LOL
I did this last year, caught the cruise bug and did CArnival in January.. And now doing the Wonder again!

I guess I am off to the party store to get some Pirate gear !

We are just back from the 4 night Wonder and we had Pirate Night. It was Tuesday, the Castaway Cay day. The dinner was Pirate themed and everyone got bandanas. It was an awesome party, mostly in the Deck 9 midship area. You should go, it was so much fun.

Glad to know that the Wonder has it too. I will tell DS to find all his pirate stuff! He had a pirate bday party 2 years ago so we've got the stuff.

Happy planning!

They do sell some things on the ship like eye patch and earrings(clip on)for the kids(or adult kids) for pirate night. Around 2 or 3 dollars.
