I have seen alot written about this but was wondering if anyone can give me specifics?? My boys LOVE pirates and it might be something we can do on our off day. I need to know what it entails, how much it is and how to book it?

My ds will be doing this in a few weeks. :)

The Pirate Cruise is a two-hour boat cruise for kids 4 - 10 that leaves from the marina at the Grand Floridian Resort. The kids get to be the pirate crew and follow a treasure map to different stops around the lagoon. At the end they find a bunch of treasure that the kids get to share and take away with them. They also eat a picnic lunch. The cost was around $30, and you can make reservations the same way you make a PS for dining. Apparently it books up fast, as it doesn't run every day.

Here's more information: http://www.wdwig.com/grandadven.htm

After we get back, I'll post how it went and what my 5 year old thought of it!

One of the things I've noticed from here recently is that this books full. If you want to do it, you will need to call when reservations are available - 90 days out. Don't make the mistake of telling your kids about it and not booking it.

From Disney's website:

Children must be potty trained, no pull-ups. Must cancel 24 hours in advance or pay full price.

Hours: Monday and Thursday 9:30 am - 11:30am, sign up at 9:15am

Information: (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463)†.

My grandson (7y.o.) did this last summer and really enjoyed it ... the "pirates" followed clues to the Polynesian Resort, the Contemporary Resort and finally found the treasure at River Country.

Although it says $24.95, I think it's closer to $29 now.

Oh well I think we are going to have to skip it as my youngest will be 3 1/2. Are the parents allowed to go? I would not feel comfortable even letting my 5yr old go without me but maybe if we can go then the 3 1/2 can go as well?

Nope, no parents allowed (the Wonderland Tea Party and Adventures in Cooking are the same). Sorry!

I was interested in this for my DS and checked out the link provided above. THis information was posted

Pirate Cruise - Children wear pirate bandannas and follow clues to search Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon for buried treasure. They sail to many exotic "ports of call" (Resort Marinas) to collect treasure. At the final port of call, children have a snack and split up the "buried treasure." Children who are potty trained (no pull-ups) and ages 3-10 may attend. Lunch is provided (Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Gummy bears, Krispy Treat and Juice box).

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Available to all guests, Cost is $28.17 plus tax.
Reservations 120 days in advance 407-WDW-DINE

hope this helps

Thank you!

My youngest is only 3 so they cannot go, and honestly I would not feel comfortable at this point letting my 5 yr old go without me. I think that on our next trip, they both will be old enough.

Thanks again!
