what is the ONE thing that you wish you had in your bag when at the park

things i have forgotten once (and try to not ever again);):
moleskin pieces, 2 tylenol
extra camera battery
extra memory card
inhaler (it's not fun to have an attack on spaceship earth:guilty:)
bottle of water
wet washcloth in ziplock
park pass, tiw, id
i only carry a poncho if rain is almost absolute.

pretty much anything else we can just wait until we return to our room. if we were staying far from the parks, i would probably carry more (we norm stay at the BWVs, and spend most of our time at epcot so travel rather light).

ziploc bags ~ gallon size

for multiple uses ~ keep things dry on water rides or during a sudden rain strike, for leftover snacks

they are always in our backpack

Okay. I am very ignorant. What is the moleskin for? Your feet? Details please?

Well first you have to go out after a good spring rain. If you're like me, you have a little injector with anesthesia and a shovel and a wooden mallet. You find a mole hole and start digging. When you catch the mole, you dispatch him humanely by. . .

Just kidding. ;)

Moleskin is a thick padded felt with an adhesive on one side. If you get a blister on your feet, you can cover the affected area with the moleskin and the blister won't get rubbed anymore. If you can catch a rubbing spot or a "hot spot" before you get a blister and apply the moleskin first, you won't even get the blister! :cool1: It works really well.

This is what it looks like.

When I was younger and we went to Disney we bought these neclaces that were like little fans that squirted water out on your face, but we couldn't find them at the parks last time. I soooo wished that I had one.

Tylenol
Batteries
Sunscreen
Tupperware - I always take a little plastic tub with me for any leftovers plus I like to put popcorn into it if we go on a ride etc.
Spare sunglasses - I go through a zillion pairs each summer because I put them down and leave them or they fall off my head and break or I bend them etc etc also its good to have different sizes and shapes to minimise the panda look :)
Sweater - I've bought so many in the parks when the temps drop at night or after a rain shower. I'm a very cold type of person so I'm chilly at 80 degrees lol

Ziploc bags. Gallon and quart size. If you are on the dining plan, these are great for keeping desserts to take back to your room.

Also: floss, bandaids, memory card, aspirin, quarters for press machines, hand sanitizer, pens/markers for signatures.

Advil and snacks! My friends and I did Disney the day after we ran the marathon last year and by the end of the day we were ready to kill each other because we were so hungry and sore.

Even if you think that having a TS reservation and stopping for a snack will be enough, keep emergency snacks on hand anyway!

Moleskin, band aids, batteries, baby wipes, Advil, dental floss, poncho(if any chance of rain) tide to go pen, ADR numbers, GUM & mints, deodorant, quarters, extra memory card, big ZIPLOCK bags, and the must have hand sanitizer.

Don't laugh, but I also carried a travel size can of febreze with me because the bathrooms can make you sick sometimes. I actually used it too! It will always be in my bag from now on.;)

An extra pair of contacts! I had one pop on me a few years ago and I couldn't find it, so I had to finish the day out at the Magic Kingdom only seeing out of one eye :scared1: Boo! Now I always pack a set.

Sunglasses
Sunscreen spray
Small wallet with ID, med insurance card, park passes, money
Contact lens eye drops
Moleskin (cut into pieces)
Small "emergency" poncho
Nail clippers, emery board
Lip gloss
Camera
Cell phone
Kleenex "Splash and Go" wet wipes. (Very refreshing if you're sweaty!")

If it's REALLY hot, I bring a bandana and a washcloth in a ziplock bag. Helps to cool off; you can even wet the bandana and wear it around your neck.

Eyeglass wipes! DH & DS both wear glasses so these are a must for us especially if they get wet from a ride.

Snacks! Never have enough.

Small towel in case any rides or seats are wet.

Advil
Chapstick
Dental Floss
These top three things, I didn't take with me first few days in the park as an adult. Then after paying the prices for them in the parks, I take them along. I put the pills and some floss in a tiny plastic bag so they take up very little room.

A SWEATER! If you are even slightly cold-natured. Even in August! Of course you don't need it walking around outside, but I have found that all the indoor locations (shops, attractions, restaurants) tend to be blasting the AC. A few minutes feels good and cools you down; after a 30 minute show you are a popsicle!
