what is the most exclusive / coolest Disney place you have been?

I was lucky enough to go into Walt's apartment on main street in Disneyland. while working there we had a special training back in 1995 about providing Extra special cust. service, and they used Walts apt. to do the training, just 4 or 5 people at a time. it was so cool to be able to sit on the furniture and see all the personal items of the family. what type of experiences have you guys had that are really cool and special to you?

My DH & I used to chaperone Grad Nite for a local high school. One year the chaperone's were given a special tour of the Hall of President's. We were allowed on stage to walk among the President's, it was awesome!! They look even more life like up close!

For me I have two places/experiences:

First and foremost, I had the privilege of going to Club 33 at Disneyland. A friend of mine who lives in the L.A. area has a friend who is a member. He invited her, then she extended the offer to me. Now, I live in Texas. I'm a senior in college. I shouldn't have gone. It made absolutely no sense for me to take time off work, skip a day of classes, and spend Lord knows how much money to fly across the country for A DINNER. But I did it. And I can NOT imagine passing that opportunity up. It was a truly magical experience.

Secondly, I was able to go on the 15-night Westbound Panama Canal cruise on the Magic in May. Now, a trip aboard the Magic by itself isn't something that is ultra exclusive. But the people that we met and the experiences we had on the cruise made the trip all that more special and cool. Let me say that after 15-nights of being on a ship with 2,000 other people, you start to meet people. And a lot of us became good friends. I still keep in contact with about a dozen people, one of which was my friend I listed above in L.A., and another was a Disney historian that DCL brought onboard for lectures. Again, looking back afterwards, I can't imagine not going on that trip.

Well, it's not nearly as exclusive as Walt's apartment or Club 33, but our last trip to WDW (Aug 08) included a back stage tour of Lights! Motor! Action! On a trip in May 08, DH and I met a CM in the line for Peter Pan with his daughter. He was just a parent with a child, and we started chatting. We found out he was a CM, and he invited us for a back stage tour on our next trip with our kids. We called about a week before our trip and made arrangements. It was great!!!! We were back stage for probably 45 minutes, and got to meet other stunt drivers and some of the coordinators. He also got us private seating for the show - it's the same location as the family that announces "Lights! Motor! Action!", but on the other side of the stands. It was incredible!

Me too Mindy. Also, I was able to lower the flag in MK with an honor guard and march up main street to retire the flag for that day. Cocowum set it up for me. It was pretty cool.

I have a few .... the most memorable are the Backstage Magic Tour, which took us to many backstage areas at Epcot, the Studios and the Magic Kingdom as well as some other backstage areas.

Also, the Castle Club lounge at DLRP Disneyland Hotel. I felt like a CEO there.

I'd have to agree with Mindy...the TSM meet was pretty special!

I have to say...on my first day at MF, I was standing in line at the Dolphin, waiting for the boat to MGM. This gal was chatting away with me and was wishing me luck on getting in to ride TSM. I chuckled a bit and told her that I didn't have to worry about missing it. She commented that it was already nearly noon and that fast passes would be gone. I then told her that I had an invite to an exclusive dessert party being hosted in TSM and that i'd be able to ride it many, many times after hours. Her eyes grew really wide and a shocked expression came over her face. Now that was an awesome feeling...

Being introduced to X Attencio at the 999 Happy Haunts Ball - he's one of the Imagineers responsible for the Haunted Mansion

Stalking Julie Andrews at a MK press event

Staying at the Boardwalk Resort during Cast Previews and having 100% access

Going to WDW in December 1971 - I was 11 and it changed my life forever. Thanks Mom!

I guess I am kind of boring to most but my most magical moment was taking the sunrise safari on my 15th Anniversary with my husband and new baby. Our guide was Joe the man featured on The travel channel fans guide to Disney world.

Okay, I haven't had all the great experiences, and they are really awesome guys, like the one's listed but here ya go:

- Dinner at Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table (one of the best meals of my life)
- Staying at Poly Concierge
- Taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour and seeing MK behind the scenes
- When my brother and I were let loose in WDW in 1988 (We would leave the room at 8am and return at 2am with no parents)
- Getting stuck on TTA in Space Mountain for 45 minutes and then having them turn the lights on in Space Mountain so we could see the track. I still have the video tape of that.
- TSM event (once in a lifetime)
- Meeting the DIS Unplugged members in May and in Dec (you all mean so much to me)
- disboards (To have place where I can be the Disney fan that I am and not be ridiculed and laughed at because I like Disney is priceless)
- Seeing my daughter experience the MK for the first time

Three years ago I went to Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party.

My friend and I Dressed ad Master Gracy (Dead with Noose) and Emily the Bleeding Bride (complete with beating heart). We stayed in character the whole evening.

Needless to say we road The Haunted Mansion ride a few times. One of the CM's working the ride was rather impressed with our costumes and introduced us as Master Gracey and Emily to the CM playing Madem Loeta. (she was sitting on the lawn talking to people in line) We had a riot playing along and quite a large group gathered around. When we were leaving the ride the CM approached us and asked us to come back at the end of the evening.

When we returned, there was a Manager with the CM. The manager said that the CM said that we were huge Haunted Mansion fans and knew alot of the back story. Then he asked if we would like so see the inside up close!
Heck Yea! After the ride had closed, he took us for a "back stage tour" of the ballroon, graveyard and attic. How cool was that!

I was part of the college program and got to do that too.
Very cool.
When we did it the ride was OPEN, so if we stood in the light we
would have been seen...as ghosts.
(didn't, didn't want to break the rules or ruin the ride for guests)

I was invited to a tour of Disney Studios in Burbank. We walked down Mickey Avenue and went to the archives..Very cool! We saw the storyboards for the tinkerbell movie (This was 2 years ago). We passed the Lost offices, saw the props warehouse, and the soundstages. There was not much activity while we were there, but for a Disney nut like me, it was awesome. We finished with lunch at the commissary. Our host and guide was a friend of my aunt's, and she had no idea of my Disney knowledge. After about 30 minutes, she started saying: "Chris, you know this, but for the rest of you, yada yada yada". My wife stills laughs about it.

It wasn't exclusive but going to Tokyo Disneyland was pretty cool.

Dang it, Chris - Here I am sitting in Arby's eating my lunch & reading this thread and you hard to go make me all teary-eyed! LOL. Needless to say, it was touching

My most exclusive event is definitely the TSM Meet. It was truly a magical time.

Also on that trips I did the KTTK tour. We got to see the parade float warehouse, including the Spectro floats which was thrilling because I'm a huge fan of that parade.
