What is the meaning behind your screen name?

I used to call DD "Cinderella" or "Cindy" (its soooo not her real name), so if I was calling her Cindy - I'd have to be Cindy's Mom

I adore Val Kilmer, and one of my fav Val movies is Willow.

It's a fantasy movie, Val plays a Han Solo-esque adventurer; "The Greatest Swordsman that ever lived!" :lmao:
Joanne Whaley Kilmer (they married after this movie, but eventually divorced) played the female lead, she was a red-headed swordswoman named Sorsha. They were adversaries for most of the movie and she got to kick his butt a lot. Then there was romantic entanglement and they got to smooch a lot.

I use "Sorsha" or some varient thereof for my screenname almost everywhere I go on the net. It's even in my email addy. :)

I love that movie!!! :thumbsup2

I used the first initials of my sons names Justin and Brendan's mom.

I love disney = dis
my last name starts with lal = lal

dis + lal = dislal :cool2:

I've had this name since the first days of the web. My BFF's name was Jenna and we were inseperable. People asked if we were sisters. So I became "Jenna's Sis" or Jennasis.

Oddly enough..we've lost contact with each other over the years...

Aww, but you still use that screen name? Maybe you guys will reconnect, sounds like it was a great friendship:goodvibes

Nothing too clever here - "Pollyanna" is one of my favorite Disney movies, and I'm a mom. But it fits.

Interesting thread! I've often wondered what some of the screen names mean.

Mine came about when I was researching info on a trip to WDW. I didn't want my name to be Disney specific because I love all of Florida, hence LuvFlorida. It was also thought up at a time when we were pretty sure we would be retiring to Florida.

Many people here have been confused though, because I'm actually from Maine (and was living there when I came up with my screen name) and people couldn't understand why I was posting about snow when they thought I was living in Florida.:upsidedow

However, we ended up moving to Arizona. More confusion!:rotfl: So, I love Florida, but I'm from Maine, and now live in Arizona.:)

Mine came about cause I had been in a really bad relationship, so when I finally dumped him and I regained my freedom, I wanted to shout from the mountains I'm FREE!!

And I love Tink and pixies, so....

free + pixie = freepixie :goodvibes

Mine comes from what a co-worker used to call me and the year I was born.

Mine's pretty easy to figure out. My husband's name is Kenny, so Kennywife. :lovestruc

Back in 2001 when I joined the DIS I was in college and missed my now-DH terribly. He used to get me these little stuffed animals called Puffkins to make me feel better. They were kind of like beanie babies, just cuter. I thought it would be an easy DIS name to remember....

Is there a way to CHANGE your screen name? I am not 32 anymore.....I am 34 now and I don't really want to put an age anyway.

I want to be something fun like "DoleWhipDiva"

I went through several before finding one that works:

BewwyBootiful - my favorite quote from Robinhood - until I realized people would think I was talking about myself!

MrsWendyLady made it sound like my DH was a girl!

And finally - MrsSpratt - my husband eats no fat, I eat no lean, all worked out. And it suits because I'm always on the food boards!

Great Biscuit became my nickname in college after I shouted it as an explicative following a injury in the campus TV studio.
