What is the lowest price you've paid for a room?

how did you get this great deal????????????????????????

We are renting DVC points from a DVC member for a value studio, which takes very few points. For our January week, it takes 69 points which at $12/point, is $828 or $118/night for 7 nights. The caveat is that you usually need to find an AK member 11 months in advance to secure a rental. I was lucky a couple months ago to find a member who had a reservation she couldn't use so she rented it to me.

I'm renting from a DVC member at the BC in February, $10 a point. I've been renting 4 times in the last 10 years now. I paid him $710, so that is $142 a nite in a Studio. I know I am paying more for Friday and Saturday nite, but it is still cheaper than the Values.

Our best deal was a few years back. Aug 2009 was the travel time.

Southwest had a buy 1 get 1 free package that included flight, hotel and park tickets. We received:

--4 RT airfares from MDW to MCO
--9 nights at All Star Movies
--2 Adult 10 day parkhoppers
--2 child 10 day parkhoppers

The cost for all of it was $2474.82. :thumbsup2

While that visit really fueled our WDW addiction, I'm so glad we took advantage of it. We're paying about half (or more!) of that just for airfare (Chicago to Orlando) these days--just crazy! :sad2:

I got Wilderness Lodge this past August for $160 a night.

We also got Animal Kingdom Lodge for $150 a night this January on Orbitz! :cool1:

just stayed at pop last week for $60...but that was with my moms cast member discount of 60%. I think they charge you taxes on the full rate so our actual hotel rate was in the 40s. On another note...on one trip my husband and I were staying at DVC we got down a day early and there was no availability. We hotwire'd a 2.5 star hotel in Kissimmee, right outside the gates, it was $22 for the ramada. Never staying 2.5 stars again. It wasn't terrible...except for the ants lol

We are paying $118/night to stay at Animal Kingdom villas in Jan...not the lowest we have ever paid but certainly the lowest for a deluxe!
How did you get such a great deal? I've been to Disney at least 40 times and have never seen such a deal. Are you renting points from a DVC owner?

Yes for a value studio. If you look up about 7 posts or so, I explained how we got such a great deal!

Our first onsite stay was at AS Sports for $49/nt in 2001.

The postcard offer came in the mail the weekend before 9/11 but we were in Hershey Park/Lancaster for the weekend. So on Monday, after considering it, and back then you could put flights on hold for 3 days, on the night of 9/10 we agreed to go if I could get the time off work.
On the morning of 9/11, I hadn't even had a chance to put in a vacation request when the attacks started. I figured we'd cancel but talked to dh on the phone who was adamant that we should go on living our lives and don't back down, etc.

That night I called Disney to book. I knew I was a Disney nut when I asked if she had any other customers call to book that night and she said no.

So we stayed for 5 days in early December that year and the parks were a ghost town. In the middle of the day we could ride Splash Mtn over and over without getting off. More than once we had an entire bus to ourselves.

Our kids were 1.5 and almost 5. Looking back we should have stayed for 10 days; we had no school schedule to worry about and it was the cheapest stay ever.
Imagine, only $250 + tax for the entire hotel bill...

onsite? free stay at DVC with a family member wa-a-ay back in the day:rotfl2: or 23.00 per night at the Dolphin using cc points....:cool1: or 63.00 per nite at AsMU thru Orbitz this upcoming winter;) there are usually deals to be found, but you have to search, and wait ,then pounce if they appear!:cat:

Last year when we went to AKL, 1 bedroom, we paid $350 for the week ($70/night) because my grandma RCI timeshare we exchanged into DVC ($200 exchange fee, $50 guest fee and $100 fee from Disney). We got the same this year for a two bedroom at Boardwalk Villas. Thank goodness for Grandmas :)

Last year I got a great deal on a room at All Star Sports. (end of Sept, $72 per night) I would have never chosen to stay there but booked because of the rate and loved it. Hoping for another deal for next October. :yay:

Just curious... what is the lowest price you have ever paid per night to stay on Disney property? I'd be curious to know the time of year, resort and rate. :scratchin

Ours was very very close to that for an All star. It was a Florida resident rate and seems like a million years ago.

Though we have done Fort Wilderness in the $30 range. But there is that while bring your own shelter and bedding expectation.

54 $ for all All Star Movies preferred but it was Feb of 2005!

Best deal I got was for Allstar Sports Resort for 49.99 a night for July 4th week on computer glitch. Get to the resort they can't find my booking. Good thing brought my paperwork with me. They had overbook and I end up at Beach club for the week. My kids love the pool. I had free room service meal too

You may win for best deal ever.

All Star Music is $68/weeknights in Jan.2015 (20% off the regular rate of $85). I booked 3 nights on Orbitz, and saved 15% off that rate - making the room $57.80 plus tax.

Good deal, can you see your reservation in your MDE account?
