Has anyone heard any news ? We will be there in three weeks and were kind of curious. :rolleyes1 Anyone at Pop have a refrig ? Would love to hear :cool1:

Everything Walt Disney World posted on fb that all deluxe resorts and POR are done. They also said CBR, CS and values should be done by sept. not sure who their sources are but it made me feel better. (Staying at POR in oct)

Update:
Refrigerator replacement has concluded at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort.

Im at Pop in two weeks, I hope to goodness I have a fridge that works!! I plan on buying drinks, milk, etc.

just got back from sports on 8/8 did not have a frig, and they weren't very nice about the whole thing, but finally got a $15 per night credit

Heading to Pop this Friday. Not counting on having a fridge but really hope we do. We're there for 10 nights so maybe it will arrive art way through our visit?

I saw another post on here saying they were only offering the $15/night credit to people with a medical need for a fridge that didn't get one, may I ask if that was the case for you, or you just got the credit by asking? We're going to Pop at the end of October and I'm going to be hoping for that credit!

At the Pop right now and no fridge. Well, there is a fridge that we are not allowed to plug in. LOL The ice machine in our building is also out of ice, so we have to go to another building to get ice. :confused3 We drove, so I have a big cooler we are using instead of the fridge. I have a big waterproof blanket under it to prevent leakage.

I'll admit to not knowing the backstory. But, why couldn't they leave existing fridge's in the room until replacements were ready? And, even if there was some compelling reason why they couldn't, how hard is it to get a new one in there? This has been dragging on forever. Seems as if this is much harder than it should be. :confused3

Risk of fire--kinda compelling.

Easy to replace a few. Replacing thousands across multiple resorts on different coasts takes a little longer.

Did it mention anything about the CR? Thanks!

Due to a fire hazard, they had a fire at a hotel at Disneyland so they are replacing all fridge of a specific brand. At a few resorts they had a different brand or model so those didn't need to be replaced. My concern is DD is bringing 8 month old so she needs a fridge but we will make sure to have a cooler.

We were there at the end of July, stayed at CBR, and were able to get two fridges for our 3 rooms. We also had a cooler with us. I had made a request through our travel agent, citing that we had multiple people with food allergies and food texture issues.

We had one fridge in place at check-in, and the 2nd one was put in place after we called housekeeping. They were very nice about it all, although they did ask about the need for the 2nd fridge. We had 8 people, and 3 food allergies, 1 texture issue, and 2 vegetarians (not that you need a fridge for that, of course). It really helped to have room for all the special food we brought along.

I called a week or so ago to put a fridge request down for Pop kids medicine. The cm I spoke to said chances are very high that we would have one and "not to worry"

Not sure whether I really believe it or not. I guess we'll see.

Am I correct that AoA was not a part of the fridge replacement? Those were fine, I thought I read. We will be there next week.

I also called last week and asked the chances of having a fridge by sept 6th at POFQ and they said we will have one...
