What is the latest time to enter MGM for Fantasmic?

Last June we arrived late and they would not let us in the park at all. I told them we were going in to see Fantasmic and they said they were sorry. So what is the latest time to enter. Trying to finalize PS and still go to the evening shows. Thanks. I know this has recently been asked before but I could not find the post

I asked a few days ago, someone responded and said they had gotten into MK just before Wishes, no problem, but didn't know about MGM. I'm just going to ask at the gate when I'm there during the day. You never know when they'll change the rules in WDW!

If you were turned away at the gates while trying to see Fantasmic, chances are the theater was probably full and they weren't letting any more people in for the show.

Most times of year they recommend that you arrive 45-60 minutes ahead of time for Fantasmic--even earlier if you want prime seating.
