What Is The Funnest Thing Your Kids Have Said At Disney?

From ages 2-4 my DS5 called Pluto "Clue-to." It was very sweet. Pluto has always been his favorite.

During our trip between Christmas and New Years we were sitting at Scuttle's Landing having a snack when my 3½ year old son asked what all those people were doing standing in line for Ariel's grotto. I told him they were waiting to meet Ariel. He asked if Ariel was a princess and I told him yes she was, she was the princess for the Little Mermaid. He kept watching everyone very intently so I asked if he wanted to go stand in that line to meet her. He looked at me like I had just suggested he eat a big pile of broccoli and said "NO! We don't need no stinkin' princesses!" That became the quote of the week for my husband. Every time we passed anything to do with princesses he and my son would spend several minutes repeating that. My appologies to the family with the young girl who seemed quite upset by this as we were waiting for the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM! ;)

We took DD for the first time when she was 3 and have a picture of her with Mickey. She'd seen the picture many times by the time we went back when she was 6. When we went to meet Mickey that time, as she approached him I said, "Tell Mickey your name is Rebecca" She turned and looked at me like I was a complete moron and said, "He KNOWS my name mommy - he's already met me." What WAS I thinking!!:p

Warning: post may cause questions from those unfamiliar with women's bathrooms and the contents therein.

DD had just learned to read on this Disney trip. DH had been in a particularly grumpy mood one day, and was complaining about how everything costs so much in Disney. DD and I headed for the bathroom. While she was washing her hands, I heard her loudly proclaim "Daddy's right, mom: they are even charging for napkins here" I felt it was too early to begin discussing the "variety" of napkins in the world, so we left quickly.

Our children have come up with the following at WDW:

"Daddy is drinking Buzz Lightyear"! = Daddy is drinking "Bud Light"!

Let's visit the "Rotten Beach Club" = Let's visit the "Yacht and Beach Club"

BUT....Daddy has a couple of good ones!

"Look Marshall, there's the castle that Mickey lives in"! "Daddy, don't you know that's Cinderella's Castle"???

Mommy: "Where would you like for me to arrange a priority seating for your birthday dinner"?

Daddy: "Surprise me, but remember anywhere but the "Dry County". I like to have a beer with my dinner"!!!!:scared:

Hit me as funny...

We were bussing it somewhere and passed a billboard for Osborne Family Lights. DD then 9 says 'Oh, the Osbornes! They're really funny. I wish we could see them'. Course she was talking about Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack. I wish we could see them at Disneyworld too! Imagine what a hoot that would be!

5-year-old DD to me after I just finished riding Rock-N-Rollercoaster: 'Mommy, does that roller coaster really go upside down?'
Me: Yes, it does
DD (wide-eyed): WOW! Did you fall out?
Me: Now, Cassidy, do I look like I just fell out of a rollercoaster?
DD: Well.....yes.

As we were entering the gateway into the MK park(when you get ready to pay for parking) my dd age 4 tells her sister, dd age 7 (who had been to WDW once already) "Callie, you're going to have to show me where everything is, because I've never been here before." It was a moment.

Del:sunny:

We were at Ice Cream Social, DS who was 2 at the time and a giant ice cream fanatic was enjoying his ice cream. Mickey comes by and DS says to Mickey:

"Don't eat my ice cream!" (while pointing a finger to Mickey)

Oh boy... was Mickey suprised!

During our 2000 trip, we spent the day at AK and then went to Chef Mickey's that evening. After dessert, my oldest (then 6) said, "I'm stuffed to be a bug!" I still laugh when I think of that.

While having breakfast at Crystal Palace we didn't know the trick with the large pen so our friend Eeyore was having a hard time signing his name. Well my older son found this very funny and was making the rest of us laugh, when all of a sudden my younger son said "Be quiet Mommy you are making Eeyore sad!"

When DD was 9 she wouldn't go on splash mountain. When we went again and she was 10 I dragged her on it. (It's my favorite!). After all, this kids been on every roller coaster made. After we got off, and she loved the ride, she told me why she was afraid to go before -
"I thought it was a roller coaster and the logs went underwater inside the mountain several times". Now that she knows the truth, it's her favorite too.

I was just wondering whats the funnest thing u have heard your kids say at Disney?

A family of four was waiting to be seated at Yachtsman Steakhouse. The father marveled at the cuts of steaks in the window, when the little girl asked what he was looking at. He explained that the various cuts of meat came from different parts of the cow. She said "Steaks are from COWS?" and started to cry.

On our first visit the Epcot ball was decorated with the wand, etc for the first time. All the pamphlets and tv commercials we saw for WDW involved this picture. When we arrived the first couple of days my ds had fun but didn't seem as overenjoyed as I expected. On the 3rd day we went to Epcot...as we are pulling into the parking lot he starts jumping up and down and screaming "Finally we got to Disney World"....after I explained the whole thing to him he got it. But it is amazing how they make connections isn't it.

I think the best thing is my DS who was 5 at the time of our first trip, was so into characters, he wanted to find "Snow White and the 7 Dorks". Still cracks me up how cute they are when they are little!

DS, age 4, has been a riot on the last few trips...

"Dad, help me catch some rice on my sticks!"-watching his sister use chopsticks at Yakitori.

"Hang on Mickey, we're coming!"-as we pulled into the gates of the MK.

"MOM, MOM! Mickey works here!"-after spotting the mouse at Chef Mickey's.

So much fun at that age...

The first time DD, 10 at the time, got to the airport in Orlando from New Mexico, she proclaimed very loudly, "WHY is there so much air here?" For a child who had lived her entire life at 5,000 feet above sea level with virtually no humidity, Florida was a HUGE surprise.
