What is the first thing you do/would do when you get on Board?

Would do? My first Disney cruise is this November and I am going to head to our stateroom and pop the champagne I'm ordering. I booked a suite and I'm so excited to see how my husband and son react! Afterwards I'm planning on trying to let my son nap, so I'll be sitting on the verandah with snacks from the lounge.

Realize that your stateroom will not be available until after 1:30 pm, so plan your boarding accordingly.

What's the spa raffle and how do I enter!?

The last cruise we did, we went to a dining room for mixology signing up and they had three tables there. one for spa, one for palo (wonder) and one for mixology. Is it different on the Fantasy? do you need to go to Palo the restaurant for more bookings?
Usually the spa has an open house with prizes the first day. I can't recall 100% but I think you must be present to win.

Yes, it's basically a "why don't you invest more with us?" meeting. But they give gifts and I believe there are free drinks.
Shmoo, you are going on speed dial :) You have all they answers, I believe it's MJ that does also. Thanks for taking the time to put up with me. Once I make a decision I jump all the way in. Are the gifts worth going to the meet? There's no way they are going to get me to invest. Way too much money buying direct and even the second market has gone up. I could make about $5000 if I sold it today... not that we are. I am interested in their approach.

The biggest thing they give away is a stateroom credit. I've never won it, but if I remember correctly it is for $200. The is usually DVC hats, and I've seem them give away USB thumb drives (pretty low capacity) and umbrellas.

You can now book the M&G online when booking excursions and other activities. Give you more time for wine and relaxing.

This is something I have heard, so I assume Anna and Elsa would be booked in advance if still meeting this October on the Fantasy?

What about the ability to book the other following items in advance online when your window opens (we are first time cruisers)

  1. Mixology Class
  2. Spa Treatments
  3. Rainforest Room Pass
  4. Palo Brunch

Thanks

So far, DCL has not offered advanced booking for Mixology (or other adult beverage classes). If you can find a group for your cruise on DISboards (or elsewhere) there might be people that arrange a private mixology class ahead of time. Otherwise go to whatever location is listed in the Navigator you will get in the terminal before embarking.

I don't do the Spa, but I see there are about 25 different options you can book under Spa and Fitness for our upcoming cruise on the Magic.

Looks like you can order a Rainforest 1-day pass from the "Gifts and Amenities" link (https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/gifts-and-amenities/)

If available you would be able to book Palo brunch and/or dinner in advance. If on the Dream or Fantasy, you could also do the same for Remy. Since this is your first cruise, there may be no more advance bookings available. You could keep checking the web site before you cruise in case someone cancels, or if that fails, go to the location listed in you Navigator when you embark to see if there is any availablity.

What is a DVC meeting? A sales meeting? I'm not interested in adding points.... at all. :(

We aren't looking to add we just enjoy meeting other people and getting the free items like a folder, caps etc. They usually have a character or two there. Competions, free drinks. Pins. We enjoy it.

We are heading on to the Dream this September. We have an early PAT so hopefully will get on board early. What should we do first while the crowds are lower? I'm thinking aqua duck and then try to eat with lower crowds? ANd where specifically?

Usually, we need to eat (MDR, never Cabanas), head to wherever the mixology sign up is being held, get any tickets we didn't already sign up for, go to the spa and enter their raffle and confirm what time the drawing is, get drinks, people watch.

Check the navigator when you first board and it will tell you what time the drawing is. Just show up and fill out the entry form and you must be present at the time of drawing to win.

I have not been on a cruise yet, but next summer on our first cruise, we are hoping to arrive as early as possible and head to the pool to ride Aquaduck as much as possible. Also, I am demanding that our family (5 of us) split a Ralph's Family Challenge ice cream at Vannellope's before or after lunch.

What ship is Vannellope's? I totally missed it

We eat! And then we head out to the pool. We usually have swimsuits already on when we board.

Usually we eat first, but we usually get to port early. This time, we are taking DCL transport from the Polynesian, so I assume we arrive late enough to dump our stuff in our room first. We're on a 14-night cruise, so getting the drinks tastings we want isn't a huge priority, as they are offered more than once, and we can be more go-with-the-flow. Lunch in the MDR if it's still serving.
