I'm sure this is a dumb question. We have been to Disneyland numerous times and never been to the Tiki Room. I'm pretty sure there is one a WDW too. What is it?
It is a show in which Animatronic birds do a song-and-dance revue for the audience. It is hosted by Iago and Zazu (I think) and is fun. It is loud, and there is a part where the "Tiki Gods" make lightning flash brightly- this may cause some preschoolers to be frightened. Overall, it is a fun show.
The Enchanted Tiki room is the first show at Disneyland using Audioanimatronics technology. It is a tropical themed show of singing birds, flowers, tiki gods and totems. It is a sit down theater where most of the action is up above the heads of the guests. While the original show at DL is dated, and has not gone through any major changes since it premiered in 1963, it is still very entertaining.
THe WDW version was redone a couple of years ago into "Enchanted Tiki Room-Under New Management" and incorporates a storyline where Iago and Zazu are co-owners of the show. The music starts out as the "classic" show, is interupted by the two new owners, and given a more pop/contemporary show. Also entertaining.
