I am trying to find out which is the easiest way to get to Winn Dixie at 11957 South Apopka Vineland Road. I will be at Pop Century for 6 days and Allstar Sports for 10 days and plan on purchasing some groceries for both stays.

I really want to purchase some coldcuts and things of that nature so we can take sandwiches to the parks and eat breakfast in the room. I know I can order online at Garden Grocer or other such places but I would like to go to the supermarket myself if I can get there. I don't drive.

I have gone on the mears transportation website to get taxi fare estimates. From Typhoon Lagoon to Winn Dixie at 11957 South Apopka Vineland Road it will cost approximately $8.45 to go (not including tip) and $9.97 for the return trip to Typhoon Lagoon. It is close to $13.00 from Epcot.

I put in Pop Century's address because I would like to take the cab back to Pop Century because I will be carrying a lot of groceries and I can't get an estimate with Pop Century's address.

Does anyone have an idea on how much a cab would be from Pop Century to 11957 South Apopke Vineland Road and back to Pop?

Would it be cheaper going to Winn Dixie from Downtown Disney?

Any info will help. I am trying to plan everything out since I will be going on 7/11 and will be on a very tight budget and need to eat breakfast in the room and take sandwiches to the parks for lunch. This way we can eat dinner in a restaurant, even if it is a counter service restaurant.

Thanks again.

I don't see why you are quibbling so much. If you go to the Wal Mart on 535 or the Winn Dixie on Vineland road you will probably save your taxi fare and probably much more, than if you bought the equivalent groceries on the Disney property.

The price to POP century would run from $15.00 to $20.00 from Vineland Rd. If you go from POP Century to Walmart on 535 you will find about the same prices and will probably save quite a bit more on the groceries.

Winn Dixie is wicked expensive!

You'd be better off going to Publix on 192 at Orange Lake. It's larger and cleaner and has much better prices.

If you don't have a Winn Dixie rewards card, you can apply for one on-line (or at the store). You may already know this, but others reading the post may not...the rewards card is needed in order to take advantage of the discount on many items.

I'll 2nd this based on our experiences...Publix or Wal-Mart have better prices...definitely not Gooding's.
