What is the earliest time you can check in

We are staying at OKW the second week of June. We are flying in the night before and staying offsite the first night. We have breakfast reservations at 8:30 in Epcot, so we will have to check in, dirive over to Epcot and get though the park before 8:30. This seems like a large task for our first day there. My question is what time is the earliest time we can check in? Is there any way to check in the night before so we have our tickets and can get to the park early? We are coming from the west coast so in theory we could be at the hotel at 12:01 am if it were possible to check in at that time.

Any information on the the earliest time you have checked in would be great.

As usual thanks for all your help,
Charlene

When I went two years ago I went by at 7:00am to get my tickets and register in. They gave me my keys to the room and gave me a number to call at a certain to see if the room was ready to check into. So you can go ahead and get your tickets to get into the parks early, but you probably will not be able to get into your room into later. They can hold your bags for you if you need them too.

I think it depends on housekeeping and whether your room is done early or not.. I have checked in at noon and other times have waited after 3.........at any rate, they hold your luggage and off you go... but I do like to get in my room after travelling down from MA.. and just freshen up a bit before I start....

They will certainly accomodate you if it's possible. We have always been able to check in by 10:00 am. Last year, when we stayed at AKL, we were given the choice of having a room available right away on a different floor than what we requested or waiting a few hours to get what we wanted. They are very, very accomodating!!!

I would call the front desk and ask, that way you will get an official answer. Since your cards actually are your room keys, they might not be able to assign a room the night before.

Charlene--Not sure what your plans are, but an FYI, if you buy your 4 or 5 day Park Hoppers in advance at your local Disney Store they will be cheaper than buying them at WDW.

BTW--"Checking In" has NOTHING to do with housekeeping or having a room ready for you at WDW. You can "cekc-in" pretty much anytime, but if it's before about 4:00pm, there may or may not be a room ready for you at the time.

You should have no porblem "checking in" at OKW around 7:45 am and getting to your breakfast in plenty of time.

I'd second calling the front desk to ask what time you can check in. They may change over the computers at a certain time. The earliest I've personally checked in was about 7-7:30 AM, at AKL. There was a room ready for me, but I wasn't planning on it, nor did I need it yet. You can always check in & get your passes before your room is ready.

One nice thing about getting there early is that there shouldn't be a line. Check in will go much faster!

I checked in at Coronado Springs one time at 7:00 A.M. and they had a room ready. I moved in and caught the bus to the MK. I have also had to wait until after 3:00 to get my room though have always been able to check in at any time.

I think it depends on if "your" room is ready. Sometimes we have to wait until 3 pm (the standard check-in time) but last year, i was able to get my room at 10:30 am. I'm not sure there is much to be done about it, but to just go and see what happens.

I have got my passes as early as 8AM although my room
wasn't ready yet. I don't know what Disney's policy is
but some hotels I have stayed at before consider any time
after 6AM as the next night and before 6AM to be part
of the day that would have to check out at 11 AM.

 It's a crap shoot as far as time getting into the room. We have gotten as early as 9:15 and as late as 4pm. Since you are going in june, you may not get in right away. Just check your bags, get your key and tickets and call back periodically to check on the rooms availability. OKW is our favorite resort. Have a good time!:p

We have checked in at POR as early as 6:30 a.m. so that we had plenty of time to get breakfast and get to the park early. We had no problems. They didn't have our room ready, but when we came back after lunch they delivered our bags to our room.

It was a road trip from West Coast - they actually had a room for us, but it was just after 9/11, so it was pretty empty. We have also had a flight get in at about 1AM, got our rental car, and had something to eat, then checked into CSR at about 3:30AM - no problem, had a room for us. Usually you can check in, they just may not have the actual room.

Exact same situation here Charwac1.

We'll be getting in at about 1AM and also staying offsite that 1st night. Have a character Bfst early the next morning, and want the resort check-in to be behind us, so we can go rest later in the day without the hassle of checking in at that time.

Just bumping to try and get some more feedback...
