Making my PS in five days and wanted to get into CP early enough to be done with breakfast for the ceremony MK puts on for the park opening. It will only be two adults, so we don't have to hang around and meet and greet characters.
What are the times everyone has had before and still able to catch the hoopla? How early does CP open?

Hi Angey77. I was born and raised in Slidell. I am also an LSU fan. Geaux Tigers!. I believe the earliest ressie is 8:00. I think that your best bet would be to make EE day at MK and set ressie for breakfast afterwards that way your not overly rushed and kids will have time to enjoy the characters and opening of the park.

Sorry I thought that you had kids, didn't realize that its just the adults. Well then you can make that early ressie.

CP doesn't open until 8:00 and that's when I always make our PS. We have never gone back to the entrance to check out the opening ceremony but if the park didn't open until 9:00 you may be able to make it back before they did it since you won't have to wait around and meet the characters. Either way have fun at CP it's our favorite breakfast at WDW! :D

We have an 8:05 PS for the Saturday after Thanksgiving at CP. I was told that was the first seating time when I called. Have a great trip!

Bit of advice, even though you have an 8am time, you most likely wont be let into park until that time, then you have to allow for time to walk up main st, check in and if necessary, wait briefly to be seated....then you want to allow yourself time to enjoy CP....Pooh is great, but the CP is beautiful and the food yummy!

If you are travelling w/o kids, I would recommend and early opening day, watch park opening and then go to CP, say around 9:30? Then you will be out by 10:30 and probably wont need lunch and can catch some rides while others break for lunch!

PS.....if you go for 8am, go on a non-EE day......when they let you in, PS people are the only ones on Main Street....its a great feeling and a perfect time for photo ops, so take the extra few minutes to snap some uncrowded pictures of the street and castle before dining!

oooh, one more tip......DH and I are big kids at heart but never get to Fantasyland cause the lines are soooo long with the little kids, cause these are their favorite rides.....after out 8am PS at CP, the park had already opened, but the crowd was still walking down main street, so we booked it to ride Pooh, Carousel, Teacups, etc before the crowds got there!

8:05 will be the actual earliest time. We were allowed in a little before 8 and got some great shots on MS as well as our family picture by a WDW photographer without a bunch of "behinds" in the background. It was my DH, DD & myself and we finished up by 8:50 and we weren't rushing. Have a great time!

Thank you! Just what I wanted to hear! BTW, where is the ceremony located? Is it the front of Main Street?
