What is the dumbest thing you've ever done at Disney

Last year, I threw my wallet away. With all of my credit cards. And my debit card. And my DDE card. And my travelers cheques. And my Disney Dollars. And my room key.

It was a bad, bad day. Actually, the blow was felt for at least 3 days of our vacation.

Hoping NOT to repeat that this year. ;)

It was our first time so DH didn't know any better. It wasn't so much as dumb as it made you want to say "Poor Thing." DH BOUGHT a fastpass off some teenager for $5. He wasn't near me so I couldn't stop him, until he came back and I told him he could've got it for FREE! Of course when he went back the kid was no longer around. He thought he was getting a deal. "Poor Thing" had no idea about fastpass. It was only $5 but still a lesson learned....I just say that we bought that kid something to drink. That's about as far as you can go with $5 in WDW. :sad2:

We were leaving the next morning early so we decided to pack up dirty clothes in one of the suitcases before heading to the parks for our last day. On the way to the bus stop DH realizes he doesn't have his prescription sunglasses - he returns to the room to look for them - they are nowhere - kids and I went to MK - while he went to Epcot thinking he had left them there at dinner the night before. Lost and Found at Epcot sends him to the TTC - sunglasses are nowhere, but TTC tells him to come back in a few hours in case they haven't arrived from the park messenger yet. Needless to say he spent most of the day back and forth looking for the sunglasses. We finally gave it up at dinner time, flew home the next day thinking they are long gone. Well, when we emptied the dirty laundry suitcase - there they were.

He has already purchased an eyeglass strap for our upcoming August trip so he can keep track of them.

it may be considered dumb now, but at the time it was HOT and had to do with the sky buckets although don't you ever tell DH!! ;)

Yes, a bad girl is alway a bad girl!

Sonno you have to tell that STORY PLEASE :lmao: :lmao:

Alrighty...

I don't really remember too much, it was a long time ago. I was in Jr High. But this I do remember. Mickey comes walking up to us, all bobin his head and waving and stuff. The Sr High kids get to sayin "Hey look! It's Mickey!!" and "Mickey's my Hero!". And then someone got the bright idea to hoist Mickey up on their shoulders like you'd do after you won a championship game or something. Well, while he was up there, and there were other CMs and security I think coming for us yelling "Put him down!", someone asked the question "Can mice swim? You think he'll float?" So, he ended up in the fountain that was not too far from us. Which, I don't remember. After that we were all escorted to the entrance and banished from WDW. Crazy stuff.

Last July we went to WDW. I was to have a hip replacement September 28 so getting around was painful so I took a cane. Our first ride was Buzz Lightyear and I lost my cane from the ride car, so at the end of the ride a CM rode around with a flashlight and he found it. Yea! Next ride is BTMRR. As my car is leaving the station my cane falls out again ( it was a slippery sucker) and I'm yelling trying to get someones attention to stop because I'm afraid the set of cars behind us will derail. When the ride is over, my husband calls a CM over and tells him what happened and that eventhough we had only been on vacation 1 hour, he was sending me home :sad2: The kerchiefed CM says to wait and goes over to tell the other CM's, who all turn to stare at me :bitelip: and they make an announcement that they are shuting down the ride - the waiting riders groan. A CM stolls over and tells us we might want to wait outside. 5 min later here they come with my cane, bent and missing the tip but the strap at the top that you put your hand through to hold on to it was intact. I have a brand new titanium hip now and I can do this  . I won't be bringing my new cane this July, but I might be setting off metal detectors!

Last year was our first trip to WDW. Our family was so excited we could hardly stand it. We had the car packed and we were ready to roll. The original plan was to leave about 4 am and arrive in Orlando around noon. We live in surburban Atl. so the drive is approx 7 hour. Well, our excitement got the best of us. We decided to go ahead and leave that night but it was already 10 pm. We drove until around 1 am - we just couldn't go any longer because we were so sleepy. We ended up getting a room somewhere in S. Ga. We didn't wake up until 8 am or so and we wound up getting into Orlando after 1 pm. We could have saved ourselves alot of exhaustion, time and some money if we could have only waited til morning to leave. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Next time we stick to the plan! :goodvibes

Two weeks ago, I was with my DS 3 at Blizzard Beach Tike's Peak. He said "Mommy let's play Power Rangers", so I said "sure, let's go". He walked quickly up the stairs and over to the kids' slides where you can sit next to each other and go down at the same time. We waited a minute as there were several moms and dads with kids in tow around the top. Then, when it was our turn, we sat down together, and in his deepest (albeit quiet) voice, he put up his muscles and said "Blue Power!". I, following his lead, and trying my best to play the part, threw my arms up and yelled robustly (assuming my son would like it more if I used more energy)......
........"WHITE POWER!!!!!!!" and then we went down the slide together. ARRRGGGGG - should have picked pink

1. Bringing packets of hot chocolate (cocoa) & flannel shirts & warm winter coats to Disney World for Spring Break the first year! :rotfl:

Yes, we are from the Pacific Northwest! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My Mom, Sis and I had a girl's only trip a few years ago. Before we left, my elderly aunt kept warning us about baracudas. The fish. :confused3 We kept telling her we weren't going to the ocean, and anyway, we're not sure where she came up with baracudas, and while it was a little funny it was also a little sad. (She was on some pretty strong pain medication for complications related to osteoporosis at the time, and apparently it was having some interesting effects, which now seem to be straightend out.)

Fast forward to Universal Studios. . . we went into the bathrooms beside the jaws ride. I always walk really fast, but I still don't quite know what happened next. I went into the stall and turned around to close the door and hit my tush on the little shelf thing above the tp holder. It is metal and SHARP. I hit it so hard it punctured a hole in my shorts and in my tush. The next day that whole "cheek" was black and blue. It hurt so bad, but my Mom and Sis were :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: about how I got attacked by a baracuda in the Jaws bathroom.

Well, our kids are into trading pins so I had bought some from Ebay specifically for trading and split them into 2 groups, 1 for each child. Got to Disney....only had one bag of pins!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: Which meant far less for them each to trade. So we, being the sappy good parents we are, ended up buying several of those starter lanyard "deals" to keep everyone happy over the next 8 days.

Count me as another person who didn't heed the advice about breaking in new shoes before wearing them at DW. I broke in all of my shoes except for my tennis shoes - big mistake, had blisters after only 2 hours of walking. The other big mistake was not seeing Wishes which is why we're going back next summer! Well, not the main reason but a darn good excuse! :teeth:
