What is the dress code please ?

Hi everyone,

I'm a male going to V&A next week. What is the dress code please ?

Is it a Dinner Jacket or a suit or a blazer and tie ?

I don't want to be under/over dressed !

Please show this lost sheep the way .

when we went my hubbie wore a dark suit and that seemed fine, there were also people in dinner jackets so it thats your preference you wouldn't be over dressed.

Official dress code is jacket for men--tie is not required (tho most men do wear them).
I used to wear a suit, but found it "difficult" to pack. Now, I wear tan slacks and a blue sportcoat.

I prefer to wear a jacket and trousers with a tie. I don't really want to carry a suit or formal dinner wear.

I just don't want to be turned away with a black blazer and tan colour trousers.
