What is the Disney Dining Experience on the cruise mean?

Just back from the 02/06 Wonder, and one night our servers gave us a Disney Dining Experience certificate with 2 Magical Journey's pins for our boys. And a lovely plate of chocolate dipped strawberries. We thought it was a nice gesture and didn't want to ask if everyone gets this, or do they single families out? And then I thought, if anyone knows.... it's you folks here!
Still working on my synopsis for everyone, will post when finished.

I'll take a guess here - Mayby they are referring to the rotational dining with the serverr rotating with you? What does the certificate say?

My guess is that not everyone gets one, because I was also on the 2/06 wonder with my son -and we didn't get any certificate or pins (or strawberries).................

Maybe it is similar to the cruise Family of the week? They pick one family to get all sorts of special things each night for the length of the cruise. I think it's a random thing.

When we were on the Wonder in August, we got a beautiful plate of chocolate covered strawberries with a beautiful white chocolate Winnie-The -Pooh in the center, as well as the pins and certificate. Our servers told us that we were chosen as "Family-of the-Day". It was really special but you should have seen us trying to carry it up the stairs and back to the suite without the Pooh tipping over!! Now that was a sight!!!!

I would guess this was a "Family of the Day" kind of thing too. They have all sorts of neat surprises that can crop up. Seems to be a random thing, so if you are chosen, enjoy!!

Hi, I remembered it wrong, it said "Disney Magical Moments" presented to the insert our family name. I wish we had realized how special it was.... it was neat though as we had skipped dessert that night so DH and I got to eat them while the kids slept.
