What is the difference memory maker

No, you didn't. You said that PhotoPass is a product, but it's not - it's a service. Also, you said it's what AP holders get, but everyone can use PhotoPass, whether they have an AP or not - what AP holders get is unlimited downloads of their PhotoPass pictures.

Not to start a dispute a product is a item Disney or gives you for a price

And this is going to sound like a but service is something Disney does for you for a price

am I correct

There's no charge to have your picture taken by a PhotoPass photographer - it's only if you want a copy of the photo that you have to pay.

It is $169 for your whole trip if you buy in advance. We took tons of photopass photos. With characters, at all landmarks etc etc etc. I have my DS entire first trip (She turned one there) documented and made a photo book for her as a memory. For me, it was without a doubt worth every single penny and I'll be doing it again on my DS first trip in Sept. I didn't have to worry about getting good pics of everyone. We travel as a party of 10 and had TONS of photos taken.

In the grand scheme of WDW, this cost is one of the ones I don't complain about :). Documenting these memories over the years is incredibly special to me. Taking the same photo in front of Cinderella Castle or with Mickey as my kids grow ... oh gee, I might start crying!

Good point about large groups actually.

So I saw on mde it's takes 20 minutes for it to show up how do I track down the photographer and let him or her know that my family likes the photo and we want to pay the 14.95

Photos take about 20 min to show up, sometimes more, sometimes less. We've had them show up in 20 seconds. And in 20 hours.
But they are taken for free.
It's only if you want to download them, and you haven't bought Memory Maker, that you pay $14.99 for the image.
If you purchase Memory Maker, either in advance for $169 or after you get home for $199, you can download every photo taken for no charge. Otherwise, it's $14.99 per image.

Fellow dis posters you well know my family I well be the one in AK looking for photographers two more questions is it unlimited downloads once purchased and do they have any at ds I don't remember seeing them there but figured I would ask

I know if you buy Memory Maker it's unlimited downloads for each image. I've downloaded some images several times.
If you purchase individual photos I don't know how they do it. I am not sure if they let you download the image unlimited times or if they give you only one time to download the file.

I do not know if they have photographers at DS on a regular basis. They do have them around at the Holidays but I can't recall ever seeing them any other time but we don't spend much time there. I can shop at home so I don't shop much at Disney.

I'll warn you now, the Photopass Website is an awkward site to use. It's slow and very glitchy. It frustrates the crap out of me. If Disney could do 1 thing over all others I wish they would trash that site and start from scratch. It is frankly awful. The more photos you get, the worse it gets too. I think AP holders get it the worse because our photos stay for a year so we get tons in there. Mine is getting unusable. I think I need to call them and tell them to dump all the photos I have in it so I can start from scratch.
Anyway, I like to say you have to pack your patient panties when you start to work on that website. It will probably lock up every 2, 3 images.

...Yea

Photopass is what's included for AP's. Which gives them all CM taken photos, all ride photos, and all ride videos.

Anyone can use the "photopass" because that's also the name of the product that Disney hands out. You get your photo taken by a CM, if they don't scan your band you're given a photopass card. Disney doesn't hand out memory maker cards, so most people refer to Photopass as also a product, which is indeed a service.

Memory maker and photopass option are the same exact thing, just one lasts longer than the other
