Deluxe ocean view and deluxe family? We are a family of 3 adults and 1 child (17) months time of travel. I like the idea of the extended verandah bt cant figure out the difference. Also what is the best deck to look into? Are the cabins in the arft location good? We prefer a bed for my husband and I and our daughter and grandaughter can use a pull out couch. I really dont lile the idea of bunk beds

The deluxe ocean view sleep 3-4 via a queen, single sofa bed and drop down bunk. The family ocean view sleep 4-5 via the same as above plus a Murphy style bed. In that case you wouldn't have to use the bunk. However, not all deluxe family rooms sleep 5 people. In order to find out which rooms sleep 5, do a mock booking with 5 people on the reservation then log the room numbers available. After that, back out and change the number of passengers to 4 and then you can choose one of the rooms from when you put in 5 passengers.

As far as location goes, it's all personal choice but we prefer a deck or two below the pool decks so we have easy and quick access to the soda fountain and quick service food. We also prefer mid ship and aft.

Since your granddaughter is only 17 mos, you could use a pack and play for her and your daughter can have the single pullman-style sofa bed (single). Either room would work for you in that case.

Deck seems to be a matter of preference. We were going to book deck 10 until I heard there is a risk of noise from the deck above, since it's public space. We went with 9 instead.

Thank you all :) when looking at the map on DCL how can you tell what side is the port side and what side sees castaway cay while at dock?
This planning is getting alot easier when the help of disboards :)

The sofa doesn't pull out to a full-size bed, like the sofa sleepers we can buy for our homes. The back of the sofa pulls down over the seat to make one twin bed.
