what is the deposit on a vacation package with WDW

if I reserve a trip now - what is the minimum I have to put down to hold everything until the 45 day mark when I know balance is due?

also is there any way to NOT put it on a credit card

The deposit balance on a package is 200.00 per room. If it for a room only reservation, then it's one nights deposit. You can put it on a debit card, or send them a check or money order, they will give you the address, the deposit does have to be in within a week.

Through Disney I've only had to do a $200 deposit. I always use my debit card that has the visa logo on it.

thanks - I am trying to surprise my husband with a trip next year and don't want anything showing up on the credit card statement - so I will use the check thing....thanks for the replies !

The PPs are correct about the $200.00. But if you opt for the trip insurance that is non refundable and will be deducted from your deposit if you cancel. I use my debit card as well for the deposit and remaining balance.
