What is the Deal with Extra TS being exchanged for CS?

How does this work? We were just there and we were okay, but I thought I read somewhere that if you had extra TS meals you could exchange them for CS? or something about a pin/lanyard? Was I reading it wrong? There were a few times my kids probably would have preferred skipping the TS and just eating ck fingers LOL. Also, our next trip we may try getting a sitter which would meal 3 TS credits not being used for kids? Could we use them at CS?

We love the dining plan, but I sometimes feel like it's too much TS for the kids at the end of a long day....

We were at WDW 2 weeks ago and were on the dining plan. At the end of our stay (Thursday, October 6) , we noticed that we were running extra on the TS credits. We had no problem trading the TS for CS at Casey's. They did give us a voucher which had several options on it, but we used the snack option. It was an extra 2 snacks per TS that we had used as CS. We used them for Diet Cokes and walked out of the park with a full 6 pack!

We were there last month for the free dining. I'm so glad I read the threads regarding the trading of TS for CS w/2 free snacks!! To make a long story short, at the last minute, my dh couldn't fly out to Orlando with us, and he came out a day later. Well, we still got all of his DDP points for the day he wasn't there. On our last day, we had left over 1 TS and 1 CS. We were eating a lunch at CR's Fun & Food center and I asked someone working there about trading the TS for a CS...of course I always manage to pick out the CM that is clueless. She didn't know anything about it, but luckily the manager was right there, and she gave it to us, including the 2 free snacks.

When I first read about trading the TS for a CS, I thought to myself, who in their right mind would do that!!??? Well, things happen and I'm glad I knew about it. It worked out perfectly for us (and it was great it was all free!!)
