What is the CRT dinner like (not the food)?

My DH and I have booked a CRT dinner for our anniversary trip because I thought it would be fun to eat in the castle. I know you see Cindy outside before dinner, but do characters come around to your table during dinner? Neither my DH nor I are crazy about that aspect of it, so I'm trying to decide if we should keep the ressie or not. We don't mind the non-face characters, but there's something about being an adult and trying to have a conversation with a "princess" who you know isn't a princess ;) ...thanks for any info you might have!

Dinner is not really a character meal. Cinderella is downstairs for the photo package photos.

Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla appear for a brief show with no interaction.

So you should be fine.

Hubby and I are doing this for our aniversery as well. As far as I can tell there are no characters that come to your table at dinner. The Fairy Godmother and mice do a little performance every hour or so, from what I've heard, but there are no character's coming around to your table as such. Which is nice, since we're doing it to eat at the castle (we did it 5 years ago on our honeymoon) and to see the fireworks through the windows of the castle when Wishes start, because that was really neat when we were there before.

We also are going there for our anniversary with our DD3 and really wanted to be able to see the fireworks but I just read on another thread that you couldnt see them. How well were you able to see them and did you ask for a table by the window?

We could see the fireworks through the windows of the castle when Wishes started. You could hear the music too. It was wonderful.

It definately wasn't like being outside and watching them, but you could see some of them from outside the windows and it was just cool to see them going off all around you. We didn't actually have a table by the window, but were still able to see them, this time I'm planning to ask for a table by the window though.
