In high school I lived in an affluent town but came from a rather poor family. I saved up babysitting money and bought myself a pair of combat boots that happened to be on sale. Some kid at school offered me $200 for them on the spot one, so I didn't think twice at that. I made $150 profit and got another pair that was marked down even further.
