DD can't decide if she is going or not. If I add her to my room/tickets, so I can go ahead and try to get her the same FPs times as us (which may be tough) trip starts June 5th, and have to cancel later, how much is the cancellation fee?

The cancellation rules for packages are different than they are for room only reservations. We are arriving on June 4th so I know that you are almost at the 30 day mark for cancelling package reservations. I think the fee is $200 for packages. My son-in-law couldn't come on the trip last October because of illness and since it was within the 30 day period, my daughter couldn't cancel his ticket without paying a fee. (I can't remember what the fee was.) So she left him on the reservation and he still has his ticket for future use. That ticket can also be given to someone else.

From Disney:

Change Fees and Changes to Reservations Made Prior to Guest Arrival
Changes to Reservation - Changes to reservation, including but not limited to travel dates, length of stay or hotel accommodations, are subject to availability at the time the change is made. Guest is responsible for paying any increase in price resulting from the change. In addition, changes made 30 days or less prior to guest arrival are also subject to a change fee of $50 per package plus any change fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers. If air transportation has been ticketed, guest will be responsible for any increase in airfare as well as the change fee assessed by the airline.
• Land portions of the reservation cannot be canceled without also canceling the air portion of the reservation booked through Disney. Airlines/hotels/suppliers do not permit changes in certain situations. All existing travel documents must be returned to Disney via overnight delivery service and revised travel documents will be delivered to guest via express service, both at guest's expense.
• Disney reserves the right to restrict changes to any reservation.
Cancellation Prior to Guest Arrival
For cancellations made 31 days or more prior to guest arrival, amounts paid, minus cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, travel insurance premiums, and other amounts owed, will be refunded.
For cancellations made 2 days to 30 days prior to guest arrival, amounts paid, minus a cancellation fee of $200.00 per package and minus any cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, travel insurance premiums and other amounts owed, will be refunded. No refunds are given for cancellation of any personalized products or experiences.
For cancellations made 1 day or less prior to guest arrival or for no-shows, the full price of the package is non-refundable.
• Guest will be responsible for any cancellation fees assessed by an airline. In the case of a non-refundable airline ticket, the cancellation fee is equal to the entire ticket price. Cancellation of a refundable airline ticket must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled airline departure time.
• No refunds will be made for early departure from hotel and for unused admission tickets, options or features, including meals. No refunds for airline tickets will be made after travel has commenced or if a flight is missed/delayed. Any refunds allowed by Disney in its sole discretion after arrival must be requested in writing within 60 days after departure and will be assessed a $25 processing fee. Travel documents must be returned to Disney in order to process any refund upon Disney's request.
• Disney reserves the right to make refunds in accordance with the method that payment was received. All appropriate refunds will be made through the guest's travel agent if payment was made by the travel agent. Disney is not responsible for the receipt of refund monies by guests from their travel agents.

Final payment for a package is due 30 days before arrival date so it looks like you are very close to that deadline. Prior to the deadline there is no penalty for dropping anyone from the package. Once you are within the 30 day time frame and you want to remove your daughter from the package there is a $50 change fee that will be charged because the total cost of the package will be less. If you wait until closer to your arrival date (I think 2 weeks) there is an additional $15 paperwork fee.

By "cancellation" I assume you mean modifying your package by dropping your daughter from the package and not actually cancelling the entire package because that involves a very different penalty - the $200 deposit is forfeited if you cancel your entire reservation within 30 days of arrival. If you cancel the entire reservation at the last minute you forfeit the full amount so at that point it would be better to postpone/re-book for the future.

If you have a room only reservation and bought tickets separately, it is not a package and final payment is not due until your arrival date so there is no penalty for removing your daughter from the room reservation prior to arrival.

Thank you. So it looks like if I add her to our package and then have to cancel (just her), it will cost $50 (& possibly and additional $15 if we are 2 weeks out)

You could wait to add her to your room when you check in. You could also purchase her ticket separately and link it to your MDE account. She would be able to make fps at 30 days out but you would be stuck with a ticket if she decides not to come. It would save you from having to pay any cancellation fees, though. Anyone could use the ticket later. But if you added her at check in then she would get a grey MagicBand.
