I will be traveling with a large group in 2008... :grouphug:

What resort would a large group benefit from? :confused3

Our groups size is from 10-15 people...Any advice would be great...

Thanks,
:wizard:

Honestly, any of the resorts are great for groups. It really just depends on the ages of your group members, their interests, their financial situation, etc.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of the resorts--they're all huge and have similar attractions.

I think it depends more on what your budget is.

Values: great rates and super fun. Many people consider them very "Disney," others consider them garish and offensive! LOL Only food courts, so that may limit some in your group who prefer a sit-down breakfast

Mods: These would be my suggestions. Good rate, very nice and enjoyable themes. Most have the food court and the sit-down restaurants, which can fit anyone's needs.

Deluxe: Great hotels, but much more pricy. Not all have an easily accessible food court. But they are impressive.

it's probably better to be at a deluxe. I say this because the lobby areas have places to sit as a group. It's more condusive for that arrangement. It's also more comfortable in those chairs, etc. It's still out in the open, but I think it lends itself better for that purpose.

You can always meet in other ways like at the parks or restaurants. The other resorts have seating in the lobby area, too but it's not set up as good to be together in a group.

I agree with GEM and bekkiz. Any of the resorts would be great, but budgeting would be the place to start.

We're going as a large group next year and all have varying vacation budgets. We got a great rate at the Dolphin, and everyone's excited. So much to do in the area and the resort itself, even if you don't go into the parks. :wizard:

popcorn:: Thanks for all the great Posts...Budget we are okay. We have looked at the Animal Kingdom and the Polynesian Resort. We figuered the Polynesian would be a great option due to the fact your close to the monorail system for MK and for Epcot. But I appreciate everyones input..

Thanks,

:cheer2: pirate: :happytv: party: :goofy:

I would say Poly, GF, or an Epcot resort. With a big group those resorts would give some the option of hopping on the monerail, or walking, and not have to worry about being far away.

Of your two choices I would go with the Poly. Given your group size, and AKL's somewhat remote location, it could be a pain all of you getting where you need to be. But then again, any WDW resort is wonderful and you will have a great time!

I would agree with poly... Even though i think i am partial to AKL ;)

Having the monorail there and that everthing is so close makes it good.

Anyone have pics of the rooms at the Poly we could see?? popcorn:: :3dglasses

If you can afford deluxe prices, did you consider the BC or BW?? Walk to 2 major parks and the whole Boardwalk area wirth restaurants, shops, entertainment at your disposal too.

BTW

How can you go wrong with any Disney Resort??? Like others check on what works within your budget, or if any of the resorts offer mulitple room discounts. Not sure that they do, but would be worth asking if you need 5 or more rooms. :thumbsup2
