Ok, we are thinking of staying at the Contemporary and would like to get an idea of what the best rate available for the tower room w/ the MK view.

Did you think the resort was too loud if you have stayed there?

Thanks,

Wendi

I haven't stayed there but a friend just told me that she did and the Tower was wonderful! There was no noise since the monorails are very quiet.

FYI-The MK view is a request. It cannot be reserved. Tower rooms could also be a view of Bay Lake which is also beautiful.

I have heard the rooms above Chef Mickey's can have some noise problems.

Rates depend on season and then you would need to research any special promotions that might be available.

Good luck.

Bump.

Just looking for some ideas on price per night as well.
I guess I should have said that we are going in Value Season.
We enjoy the January time of year. Plus it doesn't hurt that it's
my birthday. princess:

my travel agent quoted me at 2800 for tower room and free dining package for 5 of us for 5 nights with park tickets...I chose the garden wing water view instead...for 2300
sept 28 thru oct 3

I paid $239 - don't ask when - it has been a while.

the monrail is not quite - if you don't believe me go eat in the Concourse Steakhouse.

the Cont has white noise. Some people this doesn't bother - others it does.

believe me my ears aren't good enough to pick this up. but I was videoing our stays after we left the Cont we went to a 1-bedroom at OKW. the lower of noise was very substantial.

We stayed at CR tower last December using a Shades of Green over flow rate -- $179 per night. AP rate for the same period was $245. We were on the 10th floor facing MK. We didn't think it was loud at all, although we had problems with no hot water 2 of the mornings.

We got $189, AP rate, 3 years ago, end of October. 11 floor tower MK side. The view was fabulous!! The castle is softly lit all night long, the monorails start moving out very early.
We did not find it noisy our room was always very quiet. The commons areas of the hotel are active but you would expect that. WE loved eating at the Concourse Steakhouse, my kids were thrilled every time the monorail came through. Plus it is like VIP parking to the MK!!

I had an AP rate for May 05 of $280 per night (plus tax). Unfortunately, we had to cancel the trip at the last minute and are now going in October.

Hi Wendi,

$65.00--------------------------------of course that was in 1977. Sorry, couldn't resist. Times do change!!

Bob.

October 1st (this year) a one night AAA rate of $327 for the tower. I did request a MK view...we'll see if I get it. Wonder why my rate seems so high compared to others?

$170/night for this coming September.

This is a travel industry professional rate.

I think its different in the rooms.
Last year on Memorial Day we stayed in the Tower, the room was on the floor just above the monorail and besides the occasional vibration you couldn't tell the monorail was going through. When we did feel the vibration my daughters made a game of it. Guess the color? They would run to the window to see which color was passing through. I would not hesitate to stay in the same room again. (fingers crossed hoping for December) I paid $275 including taxes but I am a FL resident and that was during value season with a FL rate. Thats when May was still considered Value season.

$198.34 For a tower room in September. Of course this is a Travel Professional rate...I guess it makes up for all of the hard work that I do not make enough money for. :rotfl2: My job does have it's perks.
